The NBA Playoffs are back in action Tuesday night!
The Thunder cruised to a sweep over the Pelicans in Round 1, but now face a much more daunting opponent in Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and company this time around.
In this article, I’m going to break down my favorite NBA player prop on DraftKings Sportsbook for Game 1 of Thunder-Mavericks. Without further ado, let’s get into it.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Dallas Mavericks — Game 1
Daniel Gafford Over 15.5 Points + Rebounds (-110)
The Thunder should be scared.
Of Luka Doncic? Of course. Of Kyrie Irving? Obviously.
… of Daniel Gafford? Yes. A RESOUNDING yes. To put it simply, Gafford dominates Oklahoma City.
Since joining the Mavericks at the trade deadline, Gafford has suited up against the Thunder twice, racking up a combined 38 points and 24 rebounds over those contests. Listed at 6’10, 234 pounds, Gafford plays much larger than that. He’s a legitimate bruiser who isn’t afraid to throw his body around.
This build is what’s known as the nightmare matchup for Chet Holmgren. As elite as Chet is defensively, Gafford has proven effective at simply bodying the young star out of the way.
The Mavs were running a big man rotation of Gafford, Dereck Lively, P.J. Washington and Maxi Kleber. With Kleber now sidelined due to a separated shoulder, Dallas’ starting center will likely be called upon for more minutes. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Mavericks tweak their gameplan to feature Gafford more offensively considering this mismatch.
