Formula One will head to China for its next race. The Shanghai International Circuit will host the 2024 Chinese Grand Prix on Sunday, April 21. While the race doesn’t take place until Sunday, the weekend is full of events starting on Friday, April 19, but there is a large time difference between the United States and China, so here is a helpful schedule to make sure you don’t miss any of the action.
The F1 weekend will look a little different as they will have the first Sprint race of the season. It will be the first of six sprint races this season, and while the races are worth points that go toward the standings, it ultimately just adds more racing to the weekend, which is a good thing.
With the addition of the sprint race, there is only one practice session scheduled for the weekend. It will be held on Thursday, April 18 — really Friday, April 19 in China due to the time difference — at 11:30 p.m. ET. Qualifying for the sprint race will be on Friday at 3:30 a.m. ET, followed by the sprint race at 11 p.m. ET. Qualifying for the 2024 Chinese Grand Prix will take place at 3 a.m. ET on Saturday, April 20, which leaves the race itself on Sunday at 3 a.m. ET.

Max Verstappen won the last Grand Prix and has won three of the four so far this season. He has the best odds to win the 2024 Chinese Grand Prix installed at -450 at DraftKings Sportsbook. Verstappen is followed by Sergio Perez (+1000), Charles Leclerc (+1200) and Carlos Sainz (+1200).
