The No. 2 Washington Huskies face the No. 1 Michigan Wolverines in the 2024 College Football National Championship on Monday, January 8. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET from NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, and the game will air on ESPN.
The only relevant name on Washington’s injury report is running back Dillon Johnson. Johnson, the Huskies’ rushing leader this season, sustained a foot injury in the final minutes of the Sugar Bowl win over Texas. He is expected to play in the national championship.
If Johnson is unable to play, the Huskies’ rushing game would take a massive hit. The RB has 1,162 rushing yards this season — nearly 1,000 more yards than the next-highest rusher. Johnson found to end zone 16 times, including twice in the Sugar Bowl win over Texas. Johnson has over 600 yards after contact, and added 166 receiving yards, as well.
