Notre Dame vs. Miami Player Prop Best Bets
Mark Fletcher Anytime TD (+125)
Mark Fletcher has had a bit of a tough season for Miami. He entered the season with high expectations after playing excellent football last season. However, Fletcher seems to be lacking the explosiveness that he had last season. That has led to him splitting carries with Javian Mallory. However, Fletcher seems to still be getting the important carries at the goal line. He isn’t breaking the long runs and racking up the big yards like he did last season, but he is still a touchdown machine.
Fletcher has 10 total touchdowns on the season. He has scored at least one touchdown in every game this season after failing to score in Week 1. Fletcher scored three touchdowns last week against UNC, including his first receiving touchdown of the season. He should carry that momentum over to this huge game against Notre Dame. Fletcher should score a touchdown for the seventh consecutive game this week.
CJ Carr 3+ Passing Touchdowns (+168)
CJ Carr is having an excellent season for the Fighting Irish. He has an 18-1 TD-INT ratio and ranks eighth in the nation in QBR. Carr needs to prove himself on the big stage in this game against Miami. Carr did not play his best in Notre Dame’s other big game this season against BYU. However, that game was in a tough environment on the road, while this one will be at home. Miami’s pass defense is also by far its biggest weakness.
The Hurricanes rank 110th in the nation in defensive EPA/dropback and 103rd in defensive dropback success rate. Carr should have success moving it through the air against this defense. In recent weeks, Billy Edwards Jr. and Ashton Daniels both threw for four touchdowns against the Hurricanes. Any sort of competent passing offense has been able to throw against Miami. Carr should have success in this game and throw for at least three scores, something he has already done four times this season.
