For the eighth time in history, WWE is hosting its Crown Jewel premium live event! This is the sixth consecutive year that the event has been on WWE’s schedule. This year’s event is taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the seventh time and the first since 2024.
This year’s Crown Jewel card features Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn, Liv Morgan vs. Chelsea Green, plus two additional matches. Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn — WWE Crown Jewel Championship Match
World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and Undisputed Champion Sami Zayn will headline the event in a match for the Crown Jewel Championship. Reigns and Zayn have plenty of history, which has made for entertaining television recently when they have been together. Reigns accepted Zayn into The Bloodline as an “Honorary Uce”. Although Zayn isn’t related by blood to Reigns, Solo Sikoa, or The Usos, he added an extra layer to The Bloodline’s original run and was an excellent addition to the group.
In 2024, Reigns and Zayn reunited to compete in WarGames against the new Bloodline. Now, two years later, the new old friends meet to prove who is the top champion in WWE. Each time they have met in singles competition, Reigns has had Zayn’s number as The Tribal Chief is 2-0 against him. This is their first one-on-one match since their instant classic in 2023 at Elimination Chamber in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal. I expect nothing less this time around, as they’ll likely create another memorable contest. Zayn has been on a career high, winning the Undisputed title twice in a few months. But unless The 946 gets involved, it doesn’t make sense for Reigns to take a pin right now. Since Reigns won the World title at WrestleMania 42, he has elevated it, and a win over Zayn would continue to prove that it is the top championship.

Liv Morgan vs. Chelsea Green — WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship Match
Liv Morgan, along with Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, defeated Chelsea Green, Iyo Sky and Tiffany Stratton on Monday Night Raw. Although it would seem like Morgan would easily beat Green en route to becoming the Crown Jewel Champion, I believe the opposite will occur. Since winning the Women’s Championship, Green has continued to get disrespected by the roster. If Green can beat Morgan, it would solidify her reign even more.

The Vision (c) vs. Penta & Je’Von Evans — World Tag Team Championship Match
In July, The Vision beat The Street Profits to regain the World Tag Team Championship. But since then, they haven’t defended the titles. Je’Von Evans and Penta beat Austin Theory and Bron Breakker in a non-title match a month ago on Raw. Although Evans and Penta create a fun and exciting pairing, it is unlikely they will win the titles because they aren’t a mainstay in the tag team division.

Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton — Last Man Standing Match
Long-time friends turned bitter rivals, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, add another chapter to their illustrious history at Crown Jewel. This is their 15th singles match, with Orton leading the series 8-6. Over the last 17 months, they have renewed their rivalry, and Orton pinned Rhodes in their most recent singles match at Sunday Night’s Main Event on Sept. 6. The 14-time world champion, Orton, needs to pick up a victory over Rhodes to prove to him and the rest of the roster that he is still among the best in the world.

Overall, this year’s Crown Jewel premium live event is stacked with three title matches and a one-on-one contest between two all-time greats. Although it is only four matches, each one should deliver something special for fans.
