Oregon State vs. Fresno State prediction
This Oregon State team has been one of the most fun stories in college football this season. The Beavers took Houston and Texas Tech down to the wire in the first two games of the season, but were in a bit over their heads. But those games against strong competition might’ve helped sharpen this offense.
In five games since, Oregon State has dropped 52 points on Montana, 33 on UTEP, 56 on Colorado State, 66 on San Diego State and 48 on Washington State. That’s good for 51 PPG against competition that isn’t in the Power 4, and 56.7 PPG in PAC-12 play. Fresno State is probably the best of the bunch out of the teams listed above, and it’s a big game for both sides.
Oregon State is right on course to meet Boise State in the PAC-12 title game. Both teams are off a bye, and Fresno took consecutive losses to Boise and SDSU prior to the week off. The Bulldogs haven’t faced many elite offenses, but did give up 38 to the Broncos and 39 to USC.
I’ll back the Beavers to continue to light up the scoreboard.
