It’s all over, folks. The Milwaukee Brewers ended a dominant postseason run Wednesday night, defeating the Tampa Bay Rays in five games to claim their first World Series title in franchise history. The champagne is being popped as we speak, but the odds wait for no man: it’s time to look at the odds for the 2027 World Series.
Opening Odds for 2027 World Series
Here’s a look at the odds for the 2027 World Series at DraftKings Sportsbook:

No surprise, the Los Angeles Dodgers are on top. After being swept in the NLCS, they’ll be back with a vengeance next season. The Brewers, currently painting the walls of Tropicana Field with champagne, come in second overall as their deep and talented roster marches on. Next are the rival New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox, hoping to take things a step further after disappointing 2026 playoff exits.
From there, we move on to the long shots. The Mariners and Phillies, who have made recent deep playoff runs, are tied for fifth at +1800. Tampa Bay, which just watched another team celebrate on its own field, is tied with the expensive and sloppy Mets at +2200. A quarter of perennial playoff teams—the Cubs, Guardians, Braves, and Padres—are tied up at +2500. From there you have the real long shots: teams on the outside of the playoff picture looking in.
It’s going to be quite an offseason as the MLBPA and MLB navigate a complex labor battle. But on the other side of that, we’re going to get some exceptional baseball. I can’t wait.
