VisionQuest has only been airing for a few weeks, but it is already nearing its end. So not only will the AI- and android-focused show be wrapping up soon, but the trilogy that started with WandaVision and Agatha All Along will be over, as well. That being said, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been burning strong for nearly two decades at this point, and the latest series could very well play into the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
If you are eager to see where VisionQuest goes next, here is everything you need to know before the penultimate episode drops:
When does VisionQuest Episode 7 come out?
Episode 7 of VisionQuest will premiere on Disney+ at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday, November 3. Episode 7, which is titled “Immolation,” is reportedly about 1 hour, 2 minutes long.
Marvel has utilized multiple release strategies when it comes to Disney+ shows in recent years. Wonder Man was a binge drop back in January, while both seasons of Daredevil: Born Again have released episodes weekly. VisionQuest released two episodes in each of its first three weeks on the air, but is giving Episodes 7 and 8 their own weeks to breathe.
(Warning: Spoilers for VisionQuest Episode 6, WandaVision and Agatha All Along ahead.)
Who will show up this week?
While the cast of VisionQuest has remained pretty contained through its first six episodes, there is at least one reveal still left on the table. On top of that, a cameo from 2008’s Iron Man could extend into the show’s final weeks. Here is a look at who could pop up in VisionQuest Episode 7:
- Paul Bettany as Vision
- James Spader as Ultron
- Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff / Thomas Shepherd a.k.a. Speed
- T’Nia Miller as Jocasta
- Lauren Morais as Lisa Molinari a.k.a. Coat of Arms
- Todd Stashwick as Paladin
- Diane Morgan as The Handler
- Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y.
- Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H.
- Henry Lewis as D.U.M.-E
- Jonathan Sayer as U
- Faran Tahir as Raza
- TBD as Jim Hammond / The Human Torch
What to expect in VisionQuest Episode 7
Vision had to cede control of his body to Ultron in order to defeat Jocasta in Episode 4, which led to the titular synthezoid getting locked away in his own mind. In order for he and the rest of his trusty AI family to break free, they had to let down the firewall in Episode 5. So while Vision was able to take back his body, he also released Ultron back into the internet for the first time since Avengers: Age of Ultron. Through Episode 6, Ultron has yet to find a new body, instead exploring his own humanity and expanding his horizons digitally with Jocasta.
Moving from the digital world to the real one, Paladin captured Tommy, thanks to a tip from Ultron, and took hime Madripoor. Vision and Lisa saved him before Paladin’s mysterious client sent Raza – the member of the 10 Rings from the original Iron Man – to capture Vision. With some help from F.R.I.D.A.Y. and E.D.I.T.H., the heroes escaped, but not before hearing a monologue from the shadowy client who seems to be wearing a fedora and has access to S.W.O.R.D. technology.
There are a few plot threads still hanging heading into the second-to-last episode of the season. For one, we still don’t know who the client is. We also haven’t gotten a deep dive into the Human Torch, Marvel’s original synthezoid, who made a cameo at the 1942 Stark Expo in Captain America: The First Avenger. Given all of the references to J.I.M., his inventor Phineas Horton and his ties to Jocasta, maybe the two dangling threads could be related to each other in the end. Keep an eye out for Billy and Agatha, too, or some more Young Avengers connections to Tommy.
