Now this is a fun one.
You never want to assume anything about a Thursday Night Football game, as things can get wonky fast, but a primetime battle between two of the most promising young quarterbacks in the league seems like a real good time.
You know what’s an even better time? Hitting a first touchdown scorer prop bet on the DraftKings Sportsbook. Let’s break down the odds for Patriots versus Bears and make a couple of picks, shall we?
Patriots vs. Bears First Touchdown Scorer Odds

Patriots vs. Bears First Touchdown Scorer Picks
Colston Loveland First TD Scorer (+1100)
Colston Loveland and Luther Burden III (+1100) have the exact same odds to score the first touchdown on Thursday night, and that makes sense, given that the duo are tied for Chicago’s team lead in red zone targets (8). So how do I end up with a lean towards Loveland? Particularly in a matchup where New England’s defense has mostly been great at shutting down opposing TEs? Well, I think it’s important to remember who those eight targets were coming from. While only two of Burden’s eight targets inside the 20 have come in games started by Caleb Williams (+2000), Loveland’s had a much stronger connection with the former first-overall pick. Heck, Loveland had three red zone targets last week alone, which translated into his first receiving touchdown of the season. Loveland’s mostly been a disappointment to bettors and fantasy players in 2026, but I expect him to build off his success in Week 6.
Corey Kiner First TD Scorer (+3000)
I know a player’s odds in this market being “off” isn’t necessarily the same thing as said player being a good bet, but there’s just no reason for Corey Kiner to be at +3000 — especially if TreVeyon Henderson (+2000) is priced where he is. Kiner has been stealing Henderson’s snaps for two weeks now, and he’s also started to encroach on Rhamondre Stevenson (+700) and his monopoly on goal line touches. Heck, Kiner led all Patriots RBs with five red zone rushing attempts in last Sunday’s victory over the Jets. For the season as a whole, he also leads the team in rushing success rate (51.6%). Yes, it is accurate that Kiner has barely touched the ball in the first half of Week 5 or Week 6, which is a massive red flag for the specific purposes of this article. Yet, at the same time, this is a man that’s slowly building trust in the coaching staff, and I could see his role expanding in a short week. I’m willing to take a chance on the long shot.
