Despite conceding three goals in a game to Brighton a few weeks ago, the Gunners are still tied for the best defense in the league with only five total goals conceded in seven matches. Despite that blip against the Seagulls, Arsenal have won all six of their other Premier League matches. In four of those six wins, the Gunners kept a clean sheet. Now, they face an Everton side who are resilient, but still struggle to score goals.
The Toffees have only netted eight times this season, with only six teams scoring fewer times. They had a similar goalscoring problem last season, as their 47 goals were only better than five other teams. Everton do however sit in eighth place in what’s been an impressive start to the season. They’ve had some impressive results against the likes of Man United and Tottenham, but recently they’ve seen a slight dip in form. They drew 2-2 to newly promoted Hull City before falling 2-0 to Chelsea at home last weekend.
Can they rectify things at the Emirates? I’m going to say no, and back the Gunners to get the win and the clean sheet to go with it.
