The South Carolina Gamecocks are hosting the Tennessee Volunteers in an exciting SEC matchup. The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET in Columbia, South Carolina.

South Carolina is a 2.5-point favorite against Tennessee on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Volunteers are +114 to pull off the upset.

South Carolina vs. Tennessee Player Prop Best Bets

Mike Matthews 51+ Receiving Yards (-121)

Tennessee has been playing better since switching to George MacIntyre at quarterback. While he doesn’t have the athleticism of Faizon Brandon, he provides more of a downfield passing threat. That is important for this matchup with the Gamecocks. The way to beat South Carolina is through the air, as the Gamecocks rank 120th in defensive EPA/pass. Last time out against Florida, South Carolina sold out to stop the run, and Aaron Philo was unable to beat them through the air. That is how the Gamecocks dominated Florida. They should employ the same strategy against Tennessee, and force George MacIntyre to beat them by throwing deep.

If MacIntyre is going to have any success throwing downfield, it will be to Mike Matthews. He leads Tennessee in every receiving category, with over twice as many yards as the next best guy. Over his past two games, Matthews had 78 yards against Arkansas and 85 yards against Alabama. He should be able to replicate those numbers against South Carolina, making this line a bargain at 51 yards.

LaNorris Sellers Anytime TD (-110)

LaNorris Sellers is one of the most gifted running quarterbacks in the country. He has at least 13 carries in each of his past four games, using his legs often in SEC play. Last time out against Florida, Sellers ran for his second touchdown of the season. Tennessee is elite against the pass, ranking sixth in defensive EPA/pass. However, the Volunteers have not been as strong against the run. If everything is covered downfield, Sellers should take off and use his legs. Sellers also loves to use his legs in the red zone, and should score another touchdown against Tennessee.

Last week, Alabama’s lone touchdown against Tennessee came from Keelon Russell on the ground. Auburn quarterback Byrum Brown also rushed for over 100 yards and a touchdown against the Volunteers. Mobile quarterbacks have been able to take advantage of the Volunteers this season, and Sellers should do the same here.
