Quarterback
Stud
Darian Mensah, Miami vs. Pittsburgh, $9,000
Darian Mensah is a serious Heisman candidate this season with his excellent play for the Hurricanes. Mensah is coming off a big game against Florida State, where he threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns. He now has an 18-1 TD-INT ratio, the fourth-most passing touchdowns in the country this season. Mensah leads the nation in QBR and should have a big game against Pittsburgh. The Panthers have been great against the run, but they rank 69th in defensive EPA/pass. Mensah should be able to move it through the air consistently against this defense and put up some big numbers.
Value
Will Hammond, Texas Tech at Cincinnati, $5,800
Will Hammond is not a quarterback that will ever put up eye-popping numbers. He really plays more of a game-manager role for the Texas Tech offense. However, this is a good chance for him to put together a really productive game. Cincinnati ranks 107th in the nation in defensive EPA/play and 106th in defensive success rate. Hammond has rushed for a touchdown in two of his past three games and should use his legs in this matchup as well. While he doesn’t have a high ceiling, Hammond has a very high floor and this is a favorable matchup for him.
Running Back
Stud
Dilin Jones, LSU at Auburn, $8,200
Dilin Jones is coming off a huge game against Mississippi State. Jones went for 84 yards on the ground and 58 yards through the air against the Bulldogs and he should be in for another big game against Auburn. Auburn ranks 62nd nationally in defensive EPA/rush and 85th in defensive rushing success rate. LSU will want to run the ball early on in this game to take the crowd out of the game and get control of the time of possession. Jones should get plenty of touches and will make the most of them.
Value
Cole Tabb, Cincinnati vs. Texas Tech, $6,600
Cole Tabb entered the season as the RB2 on the Cincinnati depth chart. However, he has continued to carve out a bigger role for himself over the past few weeks. Last week, he got a team-high 15 carries for 118 yards and two scores. Not to mention, Tabb also caught four balls for 51 yards and another touchdown. Tabb now has an incredible nine touchdowns over his past four games. He is doing much more with his touches than starting running back Gi’Bran Payne. Tabb should get even more touches this week after that incredible performance against West Virginia.
Wide Receiver
Stud
Charlie Becker, Indiana at Michigan, $8,000
Charlie Becker is having an incredible season for the Hoosiers. He just went for a season-high nine catches and 165 yards against Ohio State last week. Becker ranks seventh in the nation in receiving yards and fifth in receiving touchdowns. He always rises to the occasion in Indiana’s toughest games. Despite this being a tough matchup against a great Michigan defense, Josh Hoover should look for his favorite target early and often. Becker has gone for at least 80 yards through the air in five of his past six games and should keep that consistency going against the Wolverines.
Value
Dakorien Moore, Oregon at Illinois, $6,000
There is a strong indication that Dante Moore is set to return this week. That makes this a bargain of a price for one of the most talented wide receivers in the country. Dakorien Moore scored a touchdown in all four games that Dante Moore started this season. If Oregon gets its QB1 back, this is the perfect matchup for the Oregon offense to get back on track. Illinois ranks 137th out of 138 teams in defensive EPA/pass. Oregon might also be without its other top receiver, Evan Stewart, after he was arrested over the weekend. This could end up being a huge game for Dakorien Moore given all of these variables.
