RB Start/Sit Week 7: Fantasy Football Running Back Picks

Updated:

By: Jeff Pratt

Looking for Week 7 RB start/sit picks? Here are the running backs to start and sit in your fantasy football lineup. There have already been multiple significant injuries at this position along with a mix of surprises from veterans and young players. This sets the stage for tough lineup decisions for every fantasy manager. Let’s break down my Week 7 fantasy football RB start/sit picks below.

Fantasy Football Week 7 RB Start/Sit: Running Back Picks

  • Running backs to start: Blake Corum, Dameon Pierce
  • Running backs to sit: Tony Pollard, Alvin Kamara

Week 7 RB Start: Dameon Pierce vs. Cowboys

Saquon Barkley is still dealing with his hamstring issue and Will Shipley was placed on IR with a foot injury, which left Dameon Pierce as the next man up in Philly’s backfield last week. Even with a decimated offense around him, the fifth-year back delivered.

Pierce was the definitive bell cow for the Eagles, seeing 95% of the team’s offensive snaps. His efficiency was generally lacking, but he did earn 16 touches, including four catches. A touchdown turned Pierce’s performance into a strong fantasy outing, as he finished with 15 points. This week, he draws another favorable matchup against the Cowboys and their porous defense. Fire up Pierce as a volume-based RB2 with upside.

Week 7 RB Sit: Alvin Kamara vs. Steelers

Kamara’s 2026 campaign has had its share of ups and downs. The veteran has been generally inefficient on the ground (although that has improved over his last two contests), but touchdowns have kept him in fantasy relevancy. Just last week he managed only modest production, but a receiving score resulted in a 14.9-point day.

When Kamara doesn’t find the end zone, the numbers are ugly. He put up 5.1 and 2.6 points in Weeks 3 and 5 respectively, showing just how low the floor can sink. I don’t want to play the boom-or-bust game with the surging Steelers on the other side. Leave the former RB1 on your bench if you can afford to.

Week 7 RB Start: Blake Corum at Raiders

Blake Corum’s fantasy value has been elevated from handcuff to standalone, matchup-dependent RB3/FLEX. Kyren Williams is still clearly the guy in L.A.’s backfield, but Corum is undeniably involved. The third-year back has seen 19 touches over the last two weeks, turning them into 30.2 fantasy points thanks to efficiency and a pair of touchdowns.

That type of production is hard to ignore, especially given the significant number of RB injuries through six weeks. Corum should stay involved against the Raiders, who have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per contest to running backs. It’s also worth noting that Williams openly called out Sean McVay for not getting enough playing time, which could result in a benching or reduced snaps for the starter. Either way, Corum should be in your lineup this week.

Week 7 RB Sit: Tony Pollard vs. Browns

Tony Pollard is a good, effective running back. He just so happens to play on arguably the worst team in the league and possesses no receiving upside. Even in Tennessee’s shocking win over the Colts, Pollard only managed 7.6 PPR points. The veteran saw 19 carries and was efficient with them as he typically is, but there’s just a serious lack of upside as a running back in this offense.

In Week 7, Pollard and the Titans will host the Browns. Cleveland boasts a bona fide top-10 running defense in the NFL, setting the stage for another underwhelming fantasy outing for Pollard. Volume is typically king for fantasy RBs, but even that logic cannot survive in this Tennessee Titans offense.
