Week 5 of the NFL season concludes on Monday as the Buffalo Bills travel to take on the Los Angeles Rams. These two teams were Super Bowl favorites heading into the season, and that remains the case even though L.A. sits at 2-2 on the season. The Rams have had a tough schedule and dealt with some injuries to this point but they still pass the eye test as one of the best teams in the NFC. For Buffalo, they will be looking to get back on track as their perfect record was spoiled by their division rival Patriots last week to drop them to 3-1. Let’s see who gets the better of this matchup on Monday Night Football.
DraftKings is offering a King of the End Zone promotion for Monday’s game, with the winners being rewarded with a massive $2 million in bonus bets. If you opt in to the token and place a singles bet of at least $5 on a player in a touchdown market and he scores the longest touchdown of the night, you win a share of the $2 million in bonus bets. Below we will track all the touchdowns from tonight’s game and determine a winner.
Live Updates
James Cook is the King of the End Zone
James Cook’s 17-yard rushing TD was the longest of the night, which means he will be crowned tonight’s King of the End Zone. Congrats to all James Cook bettors.
Kyren For OT??
Boy, the Rams were sure ready to respond. With one timeout remaining and under two minutes on the clock, Matthew Stafford calmly led his team downfield for a tying score. Kyren Williams made a beautiful one-handed catch on third down to set up first and goal, and with the clock running low, it was Williams punching it in from one yard out.
Obviously, that’s not enough to change our KOTEZ contest. But with this one heading to overtime, it’s still anyone’s contest. Don’t count your bonuses just yet, James Cook backers.
Cook’s Clutch Score
Now he’s just showing off. James Cook, already the King of the End Zone leader after his 17-yard score, added another to put the Bills on top. Buffalo’s star running back cashed in from five yards out to secure a 34-27 lead.
It’s not enough to lengthen his KOTEZ lead, but it gets the Bills closer to a win, and Cook bettors closer to a bonus.
Stafford to Adams x2
This second half has been incredible. Matthew Stafford finds Davante Adams with just over seven minutes left to even this one up. It’s a five-yard score this time, which means that James Cook still leads the way for King of the End Zone.
Josh Allen sneaks it in for the lead
Boy is Josh Allen hard to stop on a QB sneak. He gets it from one-yard out as these teams continue to trade the lead. The Bills now lead by 7.
Puka Nacua gives the lead back to Los Angeles
Back and forth. At the start of the fourth quarter, Stafford throws a two-yard pass to Puka Nacua to put L.A. back on top once again. Nobody has been able to catch James Cook as of yet.
Keon Coleman finds paydirt
It’s a seven-yard pass from Allen to Coleman at the end of the third quarter to give the Bills the lead back. Back and forth we go. Despite all of that, James Cook is still the man to beat for this promotion.
Blake Corum gets the lead back for L.A.
What a drive for the Rams to start the second half. They march right down the field, and it ends with a one-yard run for Corum to give the Rams a 14-13 lead. James Cook is still the leader for King of the End Zone.
James Cook answers right back
It only took Buffalo five plays to go 69 yards and score a touchdown to answer the Davante Adams score. The drive ended with a 17-yard run from James Cook, who is now the new leader in the King of the End Zone race.
Davante Adams scores the first TD of the night
It took a while for this Rams offense to get going, but in the second quarter they did. Stafford throws a four-yard pass to Adams to give the Rams a 7-6 lead.
