PITCHER
Stud
Jacob Misiorowski, Milwaukee Brewers vs. San Diego Padres ($11,100) — Nobody beats the Miz! Misiorowski has been practically untouchable, going 16-5 with a 2.17 FIP and a 31.2% K-BB%. He’s allowed only 14 home runs in 174.3 innings. The swinging strike rate is 17.6%, while the barrel rate is a minuscule 3.6%. He failed to hit 20 FPTS only six times this season, while clearing 30 FPTS 12 times, with a ridiculous high of 58.6 FPTS. The Brewers held him back in his last two regular-season starts, limiting him to 44 and 68 pitches. He still put up 14.2 and 23.6 FPTS.
Value
Parker Messick, Cleveland Guardians vs. Chicago White Sox ($8,500) — When searching for value, I usually go with a pitcher below $7,000. This ain’t the slate or time to be messing down in the dredges. Through 186.1 innings, Messick has a 3.07 FIP and a 19.3% K-BB%. The lefty has allowed an average exit velocity of 87.5 mph with a 5% barrel rate. At home, he has a 2.55 FIP and 21% K-BB%. In four regular-season starts against Chicago, he put up 30.8, 10.4, 28.8, and 22.7 FPTS.
INFIELD
Stud
Will Smith, Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Atlanta Braves ($4,000) — Smith has an average exit velocity of 89.1 mph, a launch angle of 20.1 degrees, and a barrel rate of 12.4%. He’s much better against right-handed pitching, slashing .293/.368/.485 with a 134 wRC+ and a .192 ISO. Atlanta will open with righty Didier Fuentes, who has been nails this season, but he will only go an inning or two before handing things off to struggling righty JR Ritchie. He has posted an 89.4 mph average exit velocity with a 9.6% barrel rate. Against righties, Ritchie has allowed a 5.01 FIP and a 7.1% K-BB%.
Value
Nathaniel Lowe, Cleveland Guardians vs. Chicago White Sox ($3,100) — Lowe isn’t terribly exciting, as he hit 17 home runs in 429 plate appearances. Still, he posted a respectable .192 ISO and a 74.4 mph bat speed. He has not been good against lefties, and Chicago is going to start a wicked one in Hagen Smith, but Smith will likely only go a few innings. Then it’s righty David Sandlin, who has allowed a .269/.327/.495 slash with five home runs in 24 innings against lefties. Lowe has posted a .214 ISO and a 123 wRC+ with all of his 17 home runs against righties.
OUTFIELD
Stud
Jackson Chourio, Milwaukee Brewers vs. San Diego Padres ($5,600) — Chourio slashed .291/.351/.487 with 25 home runs, 96 runs, 75 RBIs, and 23 stolen bases in 573 plate appearances. He posted a 91.6 mph average exit velocity, a 12.1% barrel rate, and a 74.4 mph bat speed. Against left-handed pitching, he owned a .242 ISO and a 165 wRC+. He bats atop the order and will now get to face Robbie Ray, who has allowed 20 home runs, a 5.27 FIP, and a 6.5% K-BB% against righties.
Value
Steven Kwan, Cleveland Guardians vs. Chicago White Sox ($3,300) — Kwan bats leadoff for the Guardians and is slashing .282/.382/.349 with a 13.3% walk rate and a 9.7% strikeout rate. While his ISO sits at .067, his game isn’t predicated on power. Kwan is all about getting on base. He’s produced fantasy goodies in 18 straight games, with five double-digit performances and a high of 28 FPTS.
