Week 4 of the NFL season is here! Whether you got knocked out or never got in before the season, it’s not too late to join a survivor pool. You can enter DraftKings NFL pools here.
The rules for NFL Survivor Pools are simple. Each week, you pick a team to win their game straight-up. If that team wins, you move on to the next week. If they lose, you are eliminated. However, you can only use each team once. So, while you want to prioritize picking a team that will win, you also have to consider your season-long strategy.
NFL Week 4 Survivor Pool Picks, Strategy and Best Teams to Use
Week 4 Survivor Pool Best Pick
Ravens over Titans
The Ravens are coming off a massive come-from-behind win over the Cowboys in Brazil. The Baltimore offense was not the same in Week 2 without Zay Flowers, and it cost them against the Saints. However, in Week 1 and Week 3 against the Colts and Cowboys, they scored a combined 75 points. Baltimore now ranks fourth in the NFL in offensive EPA/play and second in offensive success rate. The Ravens should keep it rolling against the abysmal Titans. The Titans are 0-3 despite playing the Giants (with Jameis Winston), Eagles and Jets – three very winnable games for most teams. Baltimore should roll them at home.
Week 4 Survivor Bold Pick
Lions over Panthers
The Lions are coming off a much-needed home win over the Jets. The Detroit offense is still one of the best in the league, ranking seventh in EPA/play and third in success rate this season. Where they are struggling is on the defensive side of the ball. However, that won’t be much of an issue against the Panthers. The Carolina offense has really struggled over the past two weeks. Over the past two games, they rank 26th in offensive success rate. The Bears came to Carolina and put up 59 points in Week 1. The Lions could do a similar thing here. The Panthers won’t have enough offense to keep up with a Detroit unit led by Jahmyr Gibbs.
Week 4 Survivor Favorite to Avoid
Bears over Jets
The Jets are showing that they will be a thorn in the side of other teams all season. They convincingly beat the Titans in Week 1 and played one-possession games against the Packers and Lions over the past two weeks. This team still doesn’t know how to win close games, but Geno Smith is back to being a solid veteran quarterback and they have real weapons on offense. The defense has also been solid, despite tough competition the past two weeks.
The Bears looked great in their first game with Case Keenum at quarterback. However, if he starts again, there will now be a week of tape on how this offense looks with Keenum at the helm. They should be able to keep the Chicago offense in check and score enough themselves to make it very competitive. The Bears might get the win, but it seems like the Jets will be in games all season and are bound to pull off an upset in one of these.
