LSU vs. Texas A&M player props
Marcel Reed 220+ passing yards (+110)
Marcel Reed labored through 49 throws against Kentucky and still reached 236 yards at a miserable 4.8 per attempt. Holmon Wiggins kept calling passes as the Aggies chased, and LSU’s front could force another exhausting workload. The Tigers concede 1.2 yards per carry and rank fourth among 68 Power Four teams in opponent-adjusted rushing defense. Those handoffs could get frustrating quickly.
Losing Terry Bussey for the season makes a dramatic passing revival harder to forecast. I’m asking for something considerably messier: roughly 40 to 43 attempts and 250 yards. Trinidad Chambliss just shredded LSU for 363, so the secondary offers Reed somewhere to attack when the running game stalls. At 230.5, I’ll back the over and endure some ugly incompletions. Wiggins may have little choice but to keep throwing.
Sam Leavitt 40+ rushing yards (-110)
Sam Leavitt gained nine yards on third-and-four, then converted fourth-and-one during LSU’s 17-play touchdown drive at Ole Miss. Lane Kiffin kept trusting his quarterback’s legs when possessions needed saving. Leavitt finished with 63 net rushing yards on 17 official carries, absorbing two sacks along the way; his longest run covered just 13 yards. He earned that total in installments.
Kenny Minchey’s mobility already troubled Texas A&M, and I expect Kiffin to test those assignments again. Dilin Jones can retain a hefty workload—he carried 23 times against Ole Miss—while Leavitt keeps attacking with his legs. I’ve reduced the quarterback’s expectation to 10 to 12 official carries and roughly 40 to 45 net yards.
