Wide receivers to start: Jalen Coker, Romeo Doubs
Wide receivers to sit: Terry McLaurin, Emeka Egbuka
Week 3 WR Start: Jalen Coker at Browns
Folks, the Jalen Coker breakout tour is officially upon us.
One week of elite production puts a player on the fantasy radar, but repeating the same target volume the following outing? That’s a trend being established. Tetairoa McMillan is still the top receiver in Carolina, but Coker may not be too far behind. The 24-year-old has now seen nine targets in back-to-back contests, hauling in eight of them both times. Coker’s yardage against Atlanta wasn’t nearly as impressive, but he’s the clear No. 2 receiver in what is emerging as one of the most fantasy-friendly offenses in the NFL.
This week, fire Coker up as a solid WR2 against a middling Browns secondary.
Week 3 WR Sit: Terry McLaurin vs. Seahawks

There is no good news.
McLaurin and Jayden Daniels weren’t on the same page in either of Washington’s first two contests, but at least the speedster had upside with the former ROTY under center. Unfortunately, Daniels dislocated his left elbow again on a freak play, leaving his return timetable up in the air. That means it’s Marcus Mariota time for the Commanders. The veteran is a solid backup, but not exactly a floor raiser for receivers. It’s going to be an uphill battle to strong production for McLaurin, and that starts with a brutal matchup against an elite Seahawks defense. Keep McLaurin on your bench until he returns to form, regardless of who’s under center.

Week 3 WR Start: Romeo Doubs at Jaguars
The Patriots offense didn’t exactly bounce back in a huge way after their disastrous collapse in Seattle, but they did steady the ship. That includes Doubs, who had one of the worst drops of the year in the fourth quarter against the Seahawks. The guardian cap clad receiver was more more effective in his second outing as a Patriot, hauling in three balls for 96 yards against Pittsburgh.
Doubs will need to be Drake Maye’s most productive receiver in A.J. Brown’s absence, and this was a solid start. He’ll look to build on that momentum in what projects to be a high-scoring affair in Jacksonville this week. Maye will likely have to look to the air early and often, which will only benefit Doubs. Start him with confidence as a WR3/FLEX with upside.
Week 3 WR Sit: Emeka Egbuka vs. Vikings
Brian Flores is a madman, and every offense who faces his defense should be terrified.
The Bears put up 59 points in Week 1 against the Panthers. FIFTY NINE. You know how many they scored against the Vikings? Three.
This defense is not to be trifled with, which isn’t good for Emeka Egbuka’s fantasy prospects after two middling outings to open the season. The versatile receiver hasn’t scored more than 12.3 points in a game yet this season and will now have to deal with a secondary that completely shuts teams down. Keep Egbuka on your bench until he returns to form.
