Kenneth Walker III ($15,900 CP): This is the play. He forced 14 missed tackles and gained 179 yards after contact in his Chiefs debut, and Indianapolis just gave up over 200 rushing yards to Baltimore in Week 1. Kansas City posted an 80% success rate running the ball against Denver, and rain in the forecast only pushes this game further toward the ground. He’s also cheaper at Captain than Jonathan Taylor, who’s actually the highest-priced player on the entire slate. The value argument is easy. As is the matchup.

Patrick Mahomes ($10,000): He looked fully healthy in his return from a torn ACL and gets to work behind a home favorite’s game script. Indianapolis struggled defending the pass in Week 1. They allowed a 44.4% success rate (30th). Making matters worse is Kenneth Walker III. For seemingly the first time in Mahomes career, opposing defenses will need to respect the run and stack the box against the Chiefs. Mahomes has the green light. This could be a classic Week 1 overreaction, but this looks like an MVP season for Mahomes.
Travis Kelce ($6,200): He led the Chiefs in receiving yards in Week 1 despite just 5 targets, including a 59-yard catch-and-run that moved him to No. 2 on the franchise’s all-time TE receiving list. He’s a cheap way onto the Chiefs side of this build if the outside receivers stay quiet again.
Jonathan Taylor ($11,000): He scored twice against the Ravens and finished with 98 yards on 19 carries even in a blowout loss. He’s the priciest player in the pool for a reason, and he remains Indianapolis’s clearest source of offense no matter how the rest of the game goes. Taylor’s ownership will not match his talent. The Chiefs are the narrative, but it’s only been one week. Indy’s star RB can eat and explode, but will go underowned because of the Kenneth Walker III hype.

Rashee Rice ($9,400): The name value is ahead of the role right now. He drew just two targets in Week 1 while Kansas City ran for 220 yards as a team, and there’s no sign the Chiefs need him to change that approach against a Colts defense that just got gouged on the ground. Add in a forecast calling for rain at kickoff, which tends to suppress the kind of downfield passing that would get him back involved, and you get a name-value price tag attached to a role that isn’t showing up yet.
