A 15-game MLB slate is on tap for Saturday. For those looking to cash in quickly on a bet, nothing makes more sense than an NRFI. With that being said, there’s more to this one than meets the eye. Some pitchers thrive early, while others take more time to get settled in than others. Which NRFI picks are worth a closer look on Saturday?
Ahead of today’s Major League Baseball contests, here are two NRFI bets worth placing on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best NRFI Prop Bets Today
| Game | Pitching Matchup |
| Orioles vs. Blue Jays NRFI (-125) | Bradish vs. Miles |
| Angels vs. Nationals NRFI (-125) | Urena vs. Alvarez |
Orioles vs. Blue Jays NRFI (-125)
Two wild card hopefuls will meet up this afternoon with plenty on the line. Toeing the slab for Baltimore will be its top pitcher, Kyle Bradish. The fifth-year pro has enjoyed another solid season, recording a 3.91 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 140 strikeouts (8.3 K/9) over 152.0 innings of work. Even more important, he comes into today’s matchup on a 14-game NRFI streak. It helps that Bradish will be facing a fairly mediocre opponent. The Blue Jays are averaging just 4.01 runs per game, second-fewest in the majors. To boot, Toronto’s offense is responsible for an MLB-worst 23.65% YRFI rate.
As for the home team, Spencer Miles will get the opening frame at Rogers Centre. The reliever is acting as an opener on Saturday, a role he’s done well in before. The right-hander hasn’t allowed a first inning run during all six of his starts this season. Over 87.2 innings of work, he’s put up a 2.77 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 81 strikeouts (8.3 K/9). Much like the Jays, Baltimore struggles to get it going early on offense. The Orioles have a 25.68% YRFI rate this season, fourth-worst in the big leagues. Against an upper-level arm such as Miles, there’s no reason to expect an offensive outburst in the first inning today.
Angels vs. Nationals NRFI (-125)
Walbert Urena has been a pleasant surprise this season for the Angels. Through 131.1 innings of work, the rookie has delivered a 2.74 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 124 strikeouts (8.5 K/9). During his previous two starts, he’s surrendered a combined two earned runs (1.20 ERA). He’s riding a 13-game NRFI streak coming into this one as well. The Nationals are near the top of most offensive leaderboards this season. With that being said, this group has hit a rough patch. Washington has scored just 158 runs since August 1st, eighth-worst in the league. The Nats have a middling 29.53% YRFI rate, only good enough for 16th-best in the sport.
Washington will send out a promising young arm of its own in Andrew Alvarez. On an otherwise mediocre rotation, the southpaw has done a solid job. Through 95.0 innings pitched, he’s accounted for a 3.60 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 91 strikeouts (8.6 K/9). Much like Urena, he’s riding a lengthy 15-game NRFI streak as well. The Angels aren’t very intimidating at the plate, averaging the third-fewest runs per game in baseball (4.04). Los Angeles has scored just 39 runs over its previous ten contests, sixth-fewest in baseball during that stretch.
