The UFC is returning to Paris, France, on Saturday, September 5, for a Fight Night event! Veteran Dan Hooker takes on UFC debutant Salahdine Parnasse in the Main Event of this card. This event begins with the Prelims at 12:00 p.m. ET and continues with the Main Card at 3:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+.

Best Bets for UFC Fight: Nurmagomedov vs. Song
- Hooker vs. Parnasse: Under 2.5 Rounds (-155): A matchup with two dangerous finishers, Dan Hooker and Salahdine Parnasse, makes it unlikely this contest will go past 2.5 rounds.
- Michael Page to Win by Decision (+125): Michael “Venom” Page has shown knockout power in the past, but since we haven’t seen it in the UFC yet, the safest play is him winning by decision, which he has done in his previous three fights.
- Daniil Donchenko to Win by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission (+100): Daniil Donchenko is facing another surging fighter, Punahele Soriano, but Donchenko’s skills appear to be much better, giving him the edge in this contest. Donchenko has won three of his last four fights by finish.
UFC Fight: Hooker vs. Parnasse Best Bets Breakdown
Hooker vs. Parnasse: Under 2.5 Rounds (-155)
Dan Hooker’s difficult schedule continues as he takes on top French prospect Salahdine Parnasse. Hooker is coming off back-to-back losses by finish against Benoît Saint Denis and Arman Tsarukyan. His last victory came at UFC 305 against Mateusz Gamrot. Parnasse enters the promotion with high expectations as he is a former KSW Featherweight and Lightweight Champion. Currently, Parnasse is on a five-fight winning streak, with each coming by knockout.
After leaving KSW, Parnasse scored a first-round knockout against Kenneth Cross on the first MVP MMA card in May. At 28 years old, Parnasse could become a future UFC title challenger if he can get past the tough veteran in Hooker. On paper, Hooker has the physical advantage: he is taller (6’0″ vs. 5’10”) and has a four-inch edge in standing reach (75″ vs. 71″). With 33 finishes between Hooker and Parnasse, violence and chaos are expected. When Hooker is on a UFC card, an exciting and entertaining contest is extremely likely.
Even though Parnasse is making his UFC debut, he is still a big -535 favorite with Hooker as a +400 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. With that in mind, my favorite play in this contest is under 2.5 rounds at -155. 11 of Parnasse’s 15 finishes have ended in the first two and a half rounds. Also, all 18 of Hooker’s wins by knockout or submission have come in the first 12.5 minutes.
Michael Page to Win by Decision (+125)
Another popular fighter on this card is Michael “Venom” Page, who is facing Nursulton Ruziboev in a three-round Middleweight bout. MVP is 4-1 in the UFC and is looking to deliver a memorable performance, as this is the last fight on his current UFC contract. Meanwhile, Ruziboev is 5-1 in the promotion with four finishes and beat Andrey Pulyaev in his previous contest.
In this contest, Page is a -175 favorite, while Ruziboev is +145 to win. Ruziboev is taller by two inches (6’5″ vs. 6’3″), while Page has a three-inch reach advantage (79″ vs. 76″). Although Ruziboev averages slightly more significant strikes per minute (2.38 vs. 2.28), Page has the better striking accuracy (58% vs. 46%) while absorbing fewer strikes per minute (1.51 vs. 2.68).
Page has frustrated opponents in the UFC due to his unique style and elite striking. With a reach advantage in this matchup, it will let MVP keep Ruziboev at range while unloading punches and kicks. Since Page has lacked aggressiveness at times and all four of his wins in the UFC have come by decision, I’m taking him at +125 to win on the judges’ scorecards.
Daniil Donchenko to Win by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission (+100)
Daniil Donchenko made his UFC debut on September 13, 2025, and less than 365 days later, he is 3-0 with two finishes. Donchenko has a 15-2 record with 12 finishes, which is impressive at just 25 years old. Punahele Soriano is taking on Donchenko in this fight and is in the midst of a four-fight winning streak.
Even though both fighters do their best work on the feet, Donchenko still has a wide gap in the striking department. Donchenko is landing over eight significant strikes per minute at a 62 percent rate, which is abnormal. With Donchenko as a -238 favorite, I’m backing him to win by KO/TKO/DQ or submission at +100 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Donchenko is on an eight-fight winning streak, with six of them coming by finish. His pace, volume, and explosiveness should be difference-makers against Soriano in this contest.
