Adam Darby to Win by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission (-175)
Darby started his MMA career a little over four years ago and, so far, has fought all eight bouts in Cage Warriors, a top European promotion. After suffering his first professional MMA loss in November 2022, Darby has won six consecutive bouts, five by submission or knockout. Rivera is also a versatile fighter, with a 13-4 record that includes five knockouts and five submissions. His latest victory came by third-round submission against Rey Trujillo at Shogun Fights 32 in March.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Darby is a big -425 favorite while Rivera is the underdog at +330. This contest has an over/under of 1.5 rounds, with the over being -110 and the under being -120. Darby has a four-inch height advantage (6’3″ vs. 5’11”) and reach advantage (78″ vs. 74″).
Even though both fighters are on a winning streak, I favor Darby in this contest due to being the better athlete while having more experience against high-level competition. With his height advantage, Darby should be able to pressure Rivera and get the best of him either on the feet or on the ground. Rivera could struggle to close the distance and deliver consistent offense against Darby. Since Darby is a -425 favorite, I’m taking him to win by knockout or submission at -175, as six of his seven victories have come by finish.
