The two-time Silver Slugger, 29, is well-positioned to keep his hot streak alive in Sunday’s series finale against the Angels. He’s got a matchup with right-hander Jose Soriano, who has faded considerably after his Cy Young-worthy start to the year. Since May 1, Soriano is saddled with a 4.90 ERA across 14 starts (75.1 IP).

June and July of the 2026 MLB campaign belong to Pete Crow-Armstrong. Chicago’s superstar center fielder, 24, entered Saturday’s game against the Pirates leading MLB in OPS (1.173), wRC+ (214), and wOBA (.486) over the last two calendar months — and 15 homers to boot. He went on to go 4-for-5 with another homer, a pair of doubles, and three RBIs in an 11–0 curb stomp.

The team’s lifeless offense should allow the 30-year-old southpaw to pitch deep into the game and reach his modest strikeout total in the process — just like he did earlier this year. In Toronto on April 27, Suarez held the Blue Jays to only one hit over eight frames while piling up 10 strikeouts.
