San Francisco Giants vs. Seattle Mariners prediction, pick for Saturday 7/18/26

A West Coast clash is on tap tonight in the Emerald City. The Giants (42-55) are mired in mediocrity, but at least ace Logan Webb takes the mound on Saturday. It’s a similar story for the Mariners (48-50), arguably the biggest disappointment of 2026. However, Seattle is just 1.5 games back of first place in the wide-open AL West. Who has the edge going into this evening’s interleague showdown?

The Mariners are favorites (-157) over the Giants, with the over/under set at seven runs. Below, Iโ€™ve laid out my preview, prediction, and best bet for Saturday’s matchup between San Francisco and Seattle on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Giants vs. Mariners pick, best bet today

  • Giants vs. Mariners under 7.5 runs (-136): Webb and Woo remain two of baseball’s most formidable hurlers. Taking the field at the sport’s worst run scoring environment, against a pair of lackluster lineups, should only help these All-Stars tonight. Buy up to 7.5 ahead of Saturday evening’s pitching duel.

Giants vs. Mariners prediction, preview

In this battle between aces, Webb comes in as the underdog. However, sleep on this workhorse at your own risk. Through 100.1 innings of work (16 starts), he’s recorded a 3.86 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 80 strikeouts (7.2 K/9). Following a phenomenal month of June, the right-hander hasn’t been at his best as of late. He’s coughed up 12 earned runs over his last two outings en route to a 10.80 ERA. However, one of those two performances came on the road at hitter-friendly Coors Field. Saturday’s matchup, at a pitcher’s haven such as T-Mobile Park, is far friendlier on paper. Despite lacking swing and miss stuff, Webb makes up for it in other ways. His 6.3% walk rate, 5.3% barrel rate and 51.8% ground ball rate rank within the league’s 81st percentile.

Webb’s best attribute might be limiting the long ball; his 0.7 HR/9 ratio is tied for fourth-best among qualified starters. That could make things tough on his opponents tonight. The Mariners, despite averaging the third-fewest runs per game (4.00), have hit baseball’s 15th-most homers (115). In other words, this group of hitters is all or nothing at the plate. However, Seattle will be getting a major boost this weekend with the return of Julio Rodriguez. The three-time All-Star was activated off of the injured list on Saturday afternoon. He’s one of six lineup regulars with a wRC+ above 100 this season.

On the other side, Woo will get the nod this evening. Much like Webb, he’s better than his statistics suggest. The 26-year-old has posted a 4.23 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 102 strikeouts (8.8 K/9) over 104.1 innings (18 starts). Those aren’t bad numbers per se, but it’s a far cry from his previous two seasons. With that being said, Woo remains almost unhittable at spacious T-Mobile Park (2.10 ERA). The All-Star is also one of the sport’s best when it comes to limiting free passes. His 4.7% walk rate ranks within the 97th percentile, complimenting a terrific 35.0% chase rate.

It’s not as if Woo needs to be at his best to silence tonight’s opposition. San Francisco is averaging baseballโ€™s seventh-fewest runs per game (4.14). In fairness to the Giants, they do score more on the road (4.44) than at home (3.81). However, as previously mentioned, T-Mobile Park might be the only place more anti-hitter than Oracle Park. This group also struggles to generate power, ranking 21st in home runs (108). Woo, much like Webb, doesn’t give up many dingers (0.9 HR/9). Asking a mediocre offense to consistently string together hits against an elite arm? That’s a risky proposition.

Best Bet: Giants vs. Mariners under 7.5 runs (-136)

On first glance, a total of seven runs feels quite low. However, it’s difficult to put much faith in either of tonight’s lineups. That’s especially true given the level of talent on the mound this evening. As an act of added insurance, I’ll take 7.5. Still, there’s every reason to expect a pitcher’s duel in Seattle on Saturday.
