The World Series gets underway on Friday night as the Milwaukee Brewers host the Tampa Bay Rays. The pitching matchup is a pair of righties on the mound as the Brew Crew turn to ace Jacob Misiorowski against Rays’ starter Nick Martinez.
Let’s break down Friday night’s action and make a couple of DFS value picks on DraftKings.
Top MLB DFS Value Picks
- Rays 2B/OF Richie Palacios ($5,000)
- Brewers 2B/SS David Hamilton ($4,800)

2B/OF Richie Palacios, Tampa Bay Rays at Milwaukee Brewers, $5,000
Palacios started three games in the ALCS against the Guardians, going 6-for-11 with two runs scored, two doubles, two RBI and a stolen base. He had a total of 35 FPTS in those three starts, including 18 FPTS in Game 4 with three hits and a steal. In Game 6, he had two hits, including a double, to finish with 12 FPTS. In the previous series, he also had a total of 12 FPTS across three starts against the Yankees in the ALDS
His success didn’t come out of nowhere, either, since the lefty hit .250 with a .333 wOBA against righties this year. He also hit .283 in September with five homers. Palacios had a 37.0% hard hit rate and 6.5% barrel rate in September, and after building momentum down the stretch, he’s one of the best fantasy baseball value plays in Game 1.
2B/SS David Hamilton, Milwaukee Brewers vs. Tampa Bay Rays, $4,800
Hamilton is another lefty who has been very successful in the playoffs and brings a very high ceiling in Game 1 as one of the best value options in today’s MLB DFS picks. Hamilton started two games against righties in the NLCS against the Dodgers. He had two hits, two stolen bases and 24 FPTS in Game 2, and then he went 2-for-4 with a home run, a stolen base and 26 FPTS in the Game 4 clincher.
While he isn’t likely to put up 20+ FPTS every game, he has the potential to produce either at the plate or on the bases. He had 30 stolen bases in his 121 regular-season games and hit a solid .245 with a .293 wOBA. He doesn’t always bring a ton of power, but his speed and timely hitting could be key for the Brewers, and he did enough in the last series to earn a look as a bargain option under $5,000. He’s hitting ninth against Martinez on Friday in Game 1, and if he gets on base, he’ll be on in front of the top of the order, potentially putting him in a great run-scoring position.
