What happened to Juan Soto? Live injury updates for Mets vs. Phillies on 7/16/26

Midway through the eighth inning of Thursday’s game against the Phillies, Juan Soto was replaced by Tyrone Taylor. Soto suffered a strain in his left calf. There’s been no mention of when or how the injury occurred. After the conclusion of the game, the Mets announced that the injury doesn’t appear serious and that Soto will likely not miss any games.

Prior to exiting, Soto was 1-for-1 with three walks.

Since Soto had at least two at-bats during the game, he is not eligible for DraftKings Early Exit.
