Yordan Alvarez 1+ Home Run (+218)
Yordan Alvarez and the Astros are in Washington, D.C., this week to face the Nationals at Nationals Park. Alvarez is up to 29 homers on the year after two homers on Saturday and is looking to join Kyle Schwarber as the only players with at least 30 homers on the season. Alvarez’s two dingers on Saturday give him four homers in his last five games wile going 10-for-20 (.500) with an impressive 26.4% barrel rate. He has a favorable matchup on Monday against Miles Mikolas if the weather holds off in D.C. Even though Alvarez is 0-for-3 against Mikolas in their past matchups, he’s still in a good spot to target since Mikolas has allowed 18 homers in 18 starts and lefties have a 40.4% hard-hit rate and .179 ISO against him on the season.
Junior Caminero 1+ Home Run (+321)
Caminero has 26 homers on the season, but he has been cranking out home runs lately. In his last 10 games, Caminero has 10 home runs, including two homers in his three-game set against Alvarez and the Astros. Caminero has a 25% barrel rate over that 10-game span, which is almost double his 13.3% barrel rate for the season. He has hit 15 of his 26 homers at home, where he has a .338 batting average and .460 wOBA on the season. He will have a tough matchup against Cam Schlittler, which is why his odds are a little longer. Caminero is 3-for-9 with a homer against Schlittler in their past meetings, and Schlittler gave up four homers in his last start against Detroit, which may contribute to why the public likes him at these odds on Monday night.
Matt Olson 1+ Home Run (+318)
Moving from the AL East to the NL East, the Braves host the Mets at Truist Park. Matt Olson is up to 22 homers after hitting a pair of homers on Friday in the first game of this wraparound four-game set. He has six homers in his 28 games since June 1. He is 4-for-13 with a double and a homer in his career against Mets’ starter Freddy Peralta, who has allowed 13 homers in 18 games. Lefties have hit 12 of the 13 homers against Peralta, and those splits are getting Olson plenty of attention in Monday’s home run props.
