Bruce ‘Shu Shu’ Carrington is making his second appearance in 2026 as he defends his WBC Featherweight Championship against Rene Palacios. Carrington won the Vacant WBC Featherweight title against Carlos Castro in his last fight in January. Palacios, 25, is 19-0-1 with 10 wins by knockout, with his last win coming against Sulaiman Segawa. This fight is the co-main event of tonight’s boxing card titled “The Fight,” which is the first of a new series by DAZN and TNT Sports.
Check out my best bet for Bruce Carrington vs. Rene Palacios at tonight’s boxing event, “The Fight”.
Bruce Carrington by KO/TKO/DQ (-175)
Recently, Carrington has shown a more aggressive side, scoring knockouts in two of his last three fights. “Shu Shu” is one of the best rising stars in boxing and has continued to impress even as the competition has gotten tougher.
Even though Palacios hasn’t lost, Carrington is still a massive -1400 favorite, with Palacios being a +700 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. Carrington is also -175 to win by knockout and +190 by decision. The total is set at 9.5 rounds, with the over and under being -115.
Five of Carrington’s previous eight wins have come by knockout. ‘Shu Shu’ has shown that when the lights get the brightest, he is more motivated to score a finish, which should be the case once again tonight on the first edition of “The Fight”. Since he is such a big favorite, I’m taking him to win by KO/TKO/DQ at -175 because of his recent aggressive nature.
