The John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run (par 71, 7,289 yards, bentgrass greens) in Silvis, Illinois, begins Thursday morning. Below, I have featured my favorite Eric Cole prop bet for Thursday’s first round on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best Eric Cole First Round Prop Bet on DraftKings Sportsbook
Eric Cole U 68.5 First Round Score (-120)
Following an up-and-down start to the season, Eric Cole has been great over the last few months. The 36-year-old has only missed one cut in his last eight starts and has finished inside the top-15 five times during this span. Cole nearly secured his first PGA TOUR win at the Charles Schwab Challenge last month, losing to Russell Henley in a playoff, and he finished eighth at the Memorial in his next start.
Cole has shot under par in 18 of his last 22 rounds, including six rounds of 65 or lower. He ranks second in total strokes gained when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds. This week will be Cole’s fourth start at TPC Deere Run, where he has made three-of-four cuts with his best result being a T7 two years ago.
Cole opened that start with a 9-under 62 at TPC Deere Run, which is one stroke shy of his career low. Cole has shot 62 and 67 in the first round at TPC Deere Run the last two years, and he has been one of the top early scorers on the PGA TOUR this season, ranking third in first round scoring. Just this past week at the Travelers Championship, Cole posted a 7-under 63 in the first round at TPC River Highlands, putting him atop the leaderboard following the opening round.
Cole has shot 68 or lower in the first round of seven of his last nine starts. He should have another great opening round at the scoreable TPC Deere Run on Thursday.
