Louisville vs. Miami College Basketball prediction, preview
Louisville went on the road to Miami and ended the regular season with a win as a road underdog over the Hurricanes. Nice spot to comeback five days later and back the Canes to get some revenge.
The Cardinals made their ACC Tournament debut on Wednesday afternoon, playing a tightly contested game against SMU. Louisville made a late push to come from behind and win, but had to go all out, and got a bit dinged up in the process. Mikel Brown Jr., the freshman phenom averaging over 18 points per game, will remain sidelined for the Cardinals in this one.
Louisville holds slight edges both offensively and defensively, but the offensive numbers are much more even with Brown off the floor. Both teams are elite rebounding the basketball, but its the Hurricanes that have the slight advantage there. I think we see a great effort from well rested Miami team that gets to face Louisville back-to-back off a loss, which usually sets up nicely.
The Cardinals having to go down to the wire less than 24 hours earlier puts them at a slight disadvantage, with the Canes hungry to get back in the win column. Miami has been taking money as the short underdog and the spread on this one is shrinking leading up to tip. I’m good with playing the Hurricanes down to a pick’em in this one.
