The final quarter of Super Bowl LX had more points than the first three quarters combined. After four field goals and no touchdowns through three quarters, each team had a touchdown early in the fourth quarter, and the winning square for the final quarter of the game was Patriots 3:9 Seahawks, which had +1600 odds to hit at the end of any quarter, as you can see in the grid below.
The first touchdown of the game came early in the quarter when Sam Darnold found AJ Barner to give the Seahawks a 19-0 lead.
The Patriots’ offense finally got going after that score by Seattle. They avoided a shutout when Drake Maye connected on a few big passes, culminating in this 35-yard strike to Mack Hollins after a drive that took less than a minute.
The Patriots were able to get a stop, but Maye threw an interception to Julian Love for his second turnover of the game. The Seahawks tacked on their fifth field goal of the night, as Jason Myers set a new Super Bowl record.
The Seahawks defense put the finishing touches on the win with a pick-six off of Maye with just under five minutes left in the game.
The Patriots did come back with another touchdown before time ran out, though, when Maye connected with Rhamondre Stevenson. In a critical decision for Super Bowl Squares, the Patriots went for the two-point conversion but were unsuccessful, ending up with 13 points.
The winning square of Patriots 3:9 Seahawks had +5500 odds to be the final square to win.
