Unrivaled Basketball: Rose vs. Hive prediction, pick for Friday 1/16/26

Weโ€™ve got more Unrivaled action on Friday as Season 2 rolls on, with the Rose and the Hive set to clash in an electric three-on-three showdown that pits elite talent against elite talent.

The Rose enter as 10.5-point road favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the total set at 141.5. Letโ€™s get into my prediction and pick for Fridayโ€™s star-powered showdown.

Rose vs. Hive Prediction

This one sets up as a bit of a mismatch on paper. The Rose come in undefeated, while the Hive are still searching for their first win of the season. Last time out, the Rose edged the Breeze by four behind an outrageous 37-point performance from Chelsea Gray, who knocked down seven of her nine attempts from deep. Shakira Austin chipped in 17 points and eight boards off the bench, and Azurรก Stevens added 12 and six, but it all starts with Gray.

Gray has been nothing short of dominant in Unrivaledโ€™s sophomore season. Sheโ€™s cleared 25+ points in all three games, dropped 35+ twice, and is shooting a scorching 61.5% from three. She leads the league in scoring by four points per game, and itโ€™s no surprise the Rose are tied with the Mist for the shortest odds to win the 2026 Unrivaled Championship at +350 on DraftKings Sportsbook. With Gray and a lineup full of shooters, this offense is tough to slow down.

The Hive, meanwhile, have struggled to put together a complete performance. They rank last in points per game (61.3), rebounds per game (6.0), and assists per game (8.3). The bright spot has been Saniya Riversโ€™ rim protection, as the Hive lead the league in blocks per game (5.3). Thereโ€™s scoring on the roster โ€” Kelsey Mitchell, Monique Billings, and Sonia Citron are all averaging 13+ PPG โ€” but thereโ€™s no true takeover scorer who can consistently stretch defenses.

Rose vs. Hive Pick

The Hive face an uphill battle against the current championship favorite. Unless they can slow down Gray and turn this into a grind, itโ€™s hard not to side with the Rose to stay perfect.

Best Bet: Rose -10.5 (-120)
