Purdy cleared this rushing total in four of the final five games of the regular season and faces an Eagles defense that has ranked seventh in EPA/play since Week 10. While Philadelphia ranked 20th in pass rush win rate during the regular season, it still deploys lethal pass rushers such as Jalen Carter and Jaelan Phillips, and I’d expect Purdy to be forced to scramble more often.
He has cleared this line in one career playoff game, but the Eagles have allowed the sixth-most rushing attempts to opposing quarterbacks, as well as the second-most rushing yards and touchdowns. Kyle Shanahan tends to make things as easy as possible for Purdy, but the Eagles’ linebackers should give George Kittle and possibly Christian McCaffrey some issues in the receiving game. As a result, I expect Purdy to pick up easy yardage via scrambles throughout the game.
