Fulham are the more in-form side heading into this game, but despite that, I’m giving the slight advantage to Crystal Palace on New Year’s Day.
Palace have won each of the last three games between these sides, including a 2-1 win at Craven Cottage in December. In fact, the Eagles haven’t lost to Fulham in each of the last seven matchups between these teams. The last Fulham win against Palace was all the way back in 2022.
Since that December win, things have gone downhill for Palace. They’ve lost three straight Premier League games. First to Man City, then to Leeds, and finally to Tottenham. I do believe they will bounce back in this one, however. Palace are at home, and have a great record against Fulham.
The Cottagers have won three in a row since these teams last met, but those came against Burnley, Nottingham Forest and West Ham. Three of the bottom four teams in the league.
These teams are fairly even, but considering the home-field advantage and the overall play from Palace in the last two seasons, the Eagles should get it done.
