Jake Paul is taking on former Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua tonight in a Heavyweight fight on Netflix. Paul, the influencer-turned-boxer, has a 12-1 boxing record with seven knockouts. In his last fight, Paul beat former Champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in June. After 15 months away, Joshua is returning to the ring for the first time since September 2024.
Before tonight’s massive fight between Paul and Joshua, here is how much each fighter will earn for the contest.
Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua’s fight purse
The Daily Mail reported that Paul and Joshua will split a pool of money of around $184 million. Paul denied that and claimed that the total will be $267 million.
Joshua said at the pre-fight press conference on Wednesday that this isn’t the biggest payday of his career. In Joshua’s second fight against Oleksandr Usyk, he reportedly made $75 million and $50 million against Francis Ngannou. Those have been Joshua’s two biggest paydays of his boxing career so far.
The largest fight purse for Paul came against Mike Tyson in November 2024, when he reportedly took home $40 million against the former champion. Paul earned at least $5 million in his previous bout against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
