Can-Man
It was a valiant effort down the stretch by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to give us some intrigue, but Anthony Edwards was not to be denied. With 53 P/R/A, Ant Man reigns supreme tonight, handing out a nice $107 bonus bet to all of his bettors tonight. Congrats to the winners!
Here’s a look at the final top five on the leaderboard.
MVP Run
Steph Curry is out. Jimmy Butler left the game after one limp-filled half. And still, the Warriors are giving the Thunder everything they can handle. They needed every bucket they could get from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the third to hold off the run. Of course, the reigning MVP delivered with some serious buckets.
He’s now in striking distance of the top spot at 36 P/R/A. Another big scoring run with a handful of rebounds and assists would make things interesting at the top. Let’s see if he can do it.
Shai Late Magic?
Ho-hum, another 20-point game for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. When you’re in scoring territory only occupied by Wilt Chamberlain, you’re pretty good at getting buckets.
The Warriors continue to keep this game interesting, storming back into striking distance with a great third quarter. That should at least give SGA some run time down the stretch. However, no player in this game has cracked 30 P/R/A, and it’s a ways to go before threatening Ant Man. We’ll see if a big fourth quarter is in store.
Late Surge Needed in Golden State
Once again, the Oklahoma City Thunder are taking care of business. They’re up by 19 at halftime on the road against the Warriors. But in terms of threats to King of the Court, the pickings appear slim.
Jalen Williams had a big second quarter and closed the half with 12 points, two rebounds and four assists. SGA picked things up a bit, but Chet Holmgren slowed down. None of those three are even halfway to Anthony Edwards’ total.
Things are worse for the Warriors. Brandin Podziemski stopped making his shots. Jimmy Butler got on the board, but he only has 10 P/R/A. It’s a low-scoring performance for the Dubs, one that isn’t destined to produce a KOTC winner.
Oklahoma City loves a third-quarter charge, and this Warriors team is primed to be rolled over. But with their penchant for sitting their big players in blowouts, it’s a fine line to walk if any of them are to challenge for the crown.
Promising Start In Late Window
It’s not the usual suspects, but we have some young players off to great starts in our nightcap between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Golden State Warriors. Brandin Podziemski has racked up nine points against the best defense in the league, along with a rebound, in the first quarter. Chet Holmgren is leading the way with eight points, three boards and two assists.
The two projected leaders in this game, SGA and Jimmy Butler, are off the pace. Butler only has three P/R/A while SGA has been “held” to five points along with two rebounds and a dime. There’s a lot of game left to play, but the Anthony Edwards lead feels a bit safer.
A New New Leader
Jaylen Brown’s time at the top was somehow shorter than Deni Avdija’s. With five minutes of free basketball, Anthony Edwards was able to continue his momentum and storm to the top of the leaderboard. Ant Man is up to 44 points, five rebounds and four assists for a total of 53 P/R/A.
This one truly came down to the wire. Trailing by four P/R/A, Trey Murphy III bottomed a three with little time remaining, and the two teams were content to let the clock run down on a Wolves comeback win.
With a one-point margin, keep an eye on scoring changes. But as we head toward our last matchup, Edwards reigns. Will Shai Gilgeous-Alexander knock him off the top spot? Or a less heralded contender, like Jimmy Butler? Only one way to find out: stick with us.
A New Leader
Well, Deni’s lead did not last. It’s Jaylen Brown at the top of the pile now. Boston’s All-Star has hung 40 points on the New York Knicks in addition to four rebounds and four assists, putting him ahead of Avdija.
But it’s a narrow lead as his game draws to a close. Anthony Edwards and Trey Murphy III are tied at 45 and locked into an overtime battle. Incredibly, TM3 had only one point and no other stats in the fourth, allowing Ant and the Wolves to climb back into the game and take it to OT. Who is going to end up on top in this dogfight?
Can Deni’s Lead Last?
With a final rebound at the buzzer, Deni Avdija set his mark at 47 P/R/A. And the rest of the leaders are hot on his trail.
Trey Murphy III is only two behind, with Jaylen Brown down by three. Both have considerable time left to play and close games. Anthony Edwards is also heating up while Harrison Barnes is inexplicably cooking. It’s going to be a heated series of fourth quarters.
Frenzy At The Top
Tyrese Maxey has been unseated; that much we know. How long that lasts is anyone’s guess.
Deni Avdija got hot down the stretch, torching the Raptors to the tune of 25 points, seven rebounds, and 14 assists as the game winds down. But he’s still got Scottie Barnes hot on his trail in that game. And Barnes isn’t even the biggest threat.
Trey Murphy III put up 27 points, 14 rebounds, and three assists in three quarters. He’s only a handful of P/R/A away from the top spot. In a close game with a whole quarter left to play, he’s a near lock to get there.
We’ll see if Advija can create some distance, and who else can make some noise; looking at you, Jaylen Brown.
Maxey Sets The Mark
Unfortunately for Maxey bettors, he sat for the last stretch of the game as the Sixers blew out the Wizards. But he’s still done plenty to set the mark at 45 P/R/A.
We already have a few contenders nipping at his heels. Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley are both tied at 32 PR/A as the fourth quarter kicks off, while Deni Avdija isn’t far behind at 28. All of them are capable scorers who can get there.
We also have some performers in the later window to evaluate. Trey Murphy III is already up to 29 P/R/A just after halftime, while Jaylen Brown has 24 at halftime. With no Luka Doncic around, there are tons of candidates for the crown. Keep a close eye on the scoreboard.
Take a Bow, Tyrese
He’s done it again, folks. It’s another unbelievable scoring performance from Tyrese Maxey, who has 35 points with time left in the fourth quarter.
With 45 P/R/A, he leads the field by more than 20 and still has time to set the mark higher as this game winds down. Let’s see how high Tyrese can go.
Second Half Wiz?
The Wizards are starting to cook on the leaderboard in the second half. Kyshawn George is putting up a strong performance, and Justin Champagnie is moving towards a double-double, as is Marvin Bagley III. But it’s Tyrese Maxey setting the tone. The third quarter isn’t over, and he’s already up to 31 P/R/A.
There’s a lot of basketball left to play, and more games are just getting underway. But early returns say it’s going to be a Maxey night.
Maxey-Maxxing
The projected king is on fire. Going into halftime in Philly, it’s looking like another huge night for Tyrese Maxey. He’s pulling away from his Wizards opponents not only on the scoreboard, but on the King of the Court leaderboard.
But new challengers have emerged. The Portland-Toronto matchup is underway, and both Immanuel Quickley and Brandon Ingram are off to strong starts for the Raptors. Surprisingly, it is Toumani Camara off to the hottest start in that game, scoring 14 points in the first eight minutes of action.

Wizards Styling in Philly
It’s a treat to have the projected P/R/A leader playing in the early window. Tyrese Maxey, the projected leader in tonight’s field, kicks off his game early. But it’s the young Wizards getting off to hot starts. Maxey has 10 P/R/A of his own, but he’s behind Marvin Bagley with 11. Kyshawn George trails closely behind with nine.
We’ve had high-scoring affairs from these two teams before. Let’s see if they can keep it up through a loaded early window.
