Heading into Week 13 of the 2025 NFL season, workloads, snap shares and more trends have been established across the league’s backfields. The fantasy RB landscape hasn’t played out as expected due to injuries, leaving fantasy managers with plenty of tough decisions to make. With that in mind, let’s break down my fantasy football RB start/sit Week 13 picks.

Start ‘Em: Devin Neal (New Orleans Saints) at Miami Dolphins
Alvin Kamara is looking at an extended absence due to an MCL sprain, so we’re about to get a good look at the Devin Neal RB1 experience. After the veteran star went down against Atlanta, Neal’s first impression in this role was a good one. The rookie struggled with efficiency on the ground, but made a massive impact in the passing game. Neal hauled in five of seven targets for 42 yards. With fellow rookie Tyler Shough in need of a safety blanket, the Kansas product should be looking at a fantastic PPR floor.
This week, Neal will look to expand on said floor and turn it into high-level production. With a matchup against the Dolphins looming, he has a great shot at doing just that. Miami is allowing the fourth-most rushing yards and 10th-most fantasy points to RBs per game, putting Neal firmly in RB2 territory with RB1 upside.

Sit’ Em: David Montgomery (Detroit Lions) vs. Green Bay Packers
Montgomery has still seen a pretty high start percentage across redraft platforms over the last few weeks, but much like Doubs, it’s time to pivot for the foreseeable future.
Despite having been a featured member of the NFL’s hottest offense over the last few years, the 28-year-old has seen a notable drop in usage in 2025 as Jahmyr Gibbs establishes himself as arguably the best running back in football. Montgomery has received single-digit touches in back-to-back games, playing fewer than 40% of snaps in both contests. With a tough matchup against Green Bay’s run defense looming, it’s not worth the risk of playing the touchdown-or-bust game with the veteran.

Start ‘Em: Tyrone Tracy (New York Giants) at New England Patriots
I must give credit where credit is due. Tracy was one of my sit selections at running back last week, mostly due to concerns over Devin Singletary vulturing touchdowns and a formidable matchup against the Lions. Tracy failed to find the end zone once again, but he still managed to rack up 16 fantasy points.
The Purdue product commanded the backfield, rushing 20 times for 62 yards and adding three receptions for 68 yards. Meanwhile, Singletary saw 11 total touches and racked up 73 yards.
Tracy’s performance set himself up nicely to take on a Patriots defense that, on paper, is strong against the run, but didn’t look the part against Cincinnati. Milton Williams’ absence was apparent, as Chase Brown rushed 19 times for 107 yards. Tracy holds low-end RB1 value as a bellcow against New England on Monday night.
Sit ‘Em: Zach Charbonnet (Seattle Seahawks) vs. Minnesota Vikings
Charbonnet has always been a touchdown-dependent RB3/FLEX, but in Seattle’ win over the Titans, he proved scoring may not even be enough. For the second straight game, Kenneth Walker served as the clear lead back. Considering how efficiently he’s running the ball, that likely isn’t a role he’s going to relinquish anytime soon.
Charbonnet did score his seventh touchdown of the year, but he also saw a season-low six touches. Momentum is trending in the wrong direction for the third-year back as he heads into this week’s duel with Minnesota. The Vikings allow the ninth-fewest fantasy points to opposing backs and have surrendered only seven rushing touchdowns to RBs on the year. The risk isn’t worth the reward this time around.
