WR Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks: Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Start or Sit in Week 13

WR Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Picks: Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Start or Sit in Week 13

Updated:

By: Jeff Pratt

With only two weeks left in the 2025 fantasy football regular season for most leagues, QB-WR rapports, target shares and more have been established among the league’s receiving corps. With all of that in mind, let’s break down my WR start/sit Week 13 fantasy football picks.

Start ‘Em: Andrei Iosivas (Cincinnati Bengals) at Baltimore Ravens

Tee Higgins was quickly ruled out for Thursday’s contest after suffering what appeared to be a serious concussion against the Patriots in Week 12. While Ja’Marr Chase is returning from his one-game suspension, Iosivas is now presented with a massive opportunity in Joe Burrow’s first game since Week 2.

Iosivas has flashed significant potential in stretches this season. The product of Princeton has racked up at least 10 fantasy points in two of Cincy’s last three outings, proving his ability to produce with both Chase and Higgins in the lineup and with one of them sidelined. Now, he draws a matchup against a porous Ravens secondary.

Baltimore is allowing the ninth-most fantasy points to receivers. John Harbaugh’s squad is coming off a game in which it allowed John Metchie III to rack up six catches for 65 yards and a touchdown. Fire Iosivas up as a high-end WR3 with upside for this exciting divisional duel.

Sit ‘Em: Alec Pierce (Indianapolis Colts) vs. Houston Texans

In a year full of surprises, maybe one of the biggest ones has come in the form of Alec Pierce, who has emerged as arguably the league’s best big-play threat. Pierce has played a pivotal role in the Colts’ offense becoming the best in the league. The 25-year-old is leading the NFL in yards per catch with 21.1.

Pierce has put himself in week-to-week fantasy relevance territory, scoring double-digit fantasy points in five of his nine games despite only finding the end zone once. Prior to Indy’s Week 11 bye, he had scored 17.5 and 18.4 points, respectively. Then, last week, he saw a season-low two targets, catching only one of them for 26 yards. After carving out a consistent target share, Pierce’s involvement dropped off a cliff. That’s a concerning development, considering the Colts’ impending matchup with Houston. The Texans allow the third-fewest passing yards and fourth-fewest fantasy points to receivers, setting the stage for another underwhelming outing for Pierce.

Start ‘Em: Troy Franklin (Denver Broncos) at Washington Commanders

It turns out that a college rapport can translate to the pros. However, that’s only if the receiver can actually play, and in Troy Franklin’s case, he’s looking like the real deal.

Over the last five weeks, the Oregon product has amassed a whopping 45 targets. He only hauled in 23 of them (accuracy has been an issue for Bo Nix this year) but managed to score double-digit fantasy points in four of those outings, partially thanks to his four touchdowns over that span. Courtland Sutton is still racking up yards, but Franklin appears to be the WR1 in Denver until further notice.

This week, the sophomore receiver will look to keep the momentum rolling against a porous Washington defense. As I mentioned above, the Commanders are struggling greatly to contain the passing game. Dan Quinn’s side has allowed the third-most fantasy points to receivers, giving Franklin high-end WR2 value heading into Sunday night.

Sit ‘Em: Rome Odunze (Chicago Bears) at Philadelphia Eagles

Through the first four weeks of the season, Odunze appeared to have cleared established himself as the new No. 1 receiver in Chicago. The second-year receiver scored at least 15 fantasy points in every game, racking up five touchdowns over that span.

Then, the Bears had their bye. It’s been downhill ever since.

Over Odunze’s last seven outings, he’s hit the 10-point mark just twice. He’s found the end zone only once. The former ninth overall pick has caught only 11 balls over the Bears’ last four outings. Whether that’s his problem or something on Caleb Williams or Ben Johnson’s side, it’s just not working right now for Rome.

If Odunze doesn’t score against a tough Philly defense, he’s likely looking at another fantasy dud.
