With only two weeks left in most 2025 fantasy football regular seasons, it’s time to start stacking wins or you’ll miss out on the playoffs. After 12 weeks, workloads, target shares, and other general trends have been established across the league. With all of that in mind, let’s break down my start/sit Week 13 fantasy football picks.
Quarterbacks
Start ‘Em: Bo Nix (Denver Broncos) at Washington Commanders
Typically, you don’t feel great about starting a quarterback who combined for fewer than 22 total points over his last two starts. However, exceptions can be made, and that’s the case with Nix.
After a stellar stretch from Weeks 7-9, Nix really struggled against the Raiders. He followed up that contest by putting together an incredibly impressive, winning performance against the Chiefs. Nix amassed 303 total yards but simply failed to get into the end zone, resulting in an underwhelming 12.6-point outing. It was the first time the second-year signal caller failed to score a touchdown this season.
Coming off the bye against Washington, that scoreless stretch will almost certainly come to an end. The Commanders are allowing the fourth-most passing yards and fantasy points to quarterbacks, setting the stage for a massive bounce-back effort from Nix.
Sit ‘Em: Daniel Jones (Indianapolis Colts) vs. Houston Texans
After a fantastic start to the season and another impressive stretch from Weeks 6-8, the man formerly known as Danny Dimes has come back down to earth lately. Over his last three outings, Jones has failed to top 18 fantasy points. While his floor is relatively high, Indy’s signal caller hasn’t shown much to inspire confidence recently.
Regardless of Jones’ recent form, the most intimidating thing factoring into his fantasy prospects this week is the matchup. The Texans aren’t just formidable, they’re a stone wall. DeMeco Ryans’ unit just smothered Josh Allen last Thursday, holding him to 10.12 fantasy points, two interceptions and no touchdowns.
With all due respect to Jones, if the reigning MVP struggled like that against Houston, I don’t have high hopes for him.

Running Backs
Start ‘Em: Tyrone Tracy (New York Giants) at New England Patriots
I must give credit where credit is due. Tracy was one of my sit selections at running back last week, mostly due to concerns over Devin Singletary vulturing touchdowns and a formidable matchup against the Lions. Tracy failed to find the end zone once again, but he still managed to rack up 16 fantasy points.
The Purdue product commanded the backfield, rushing 20 times for 62 yards and adding three receptions for 68 yards. Meanwhile, Singletary saw 11 total touches and racked up 73 yards.
Tracy’s performance set himself up nicely to take on a Patriots defense that, on paper, is strong against the run, but didn’t look the part against Cincinnati. Milton Williams’ absence was apparent, as Chase Brown rushed 19 times for 107 yards. Tracy holds low-end RB1 value as a bellcow against New England on Monday night.
Sit ‘Em: Zach Charbonnet (Seattle Seahawks) vs. Minnesota Vikings
Charbonnet has always been a touchdown-dependent RB3/FLEX, but in Seattle’ win over the Titans, he proved scoring may not even be enough. For the second straight game, Kenneth Walker served as the clear lead back. Considering how efficiently he’s running the ball, that likely isn’t a role he’s going to relinquish anytime soon.
Charbonnet did score his seventh touchdown of the year, but he also saw a season-low six touches. Momentum is trending in the wrong direction for the third-year back as he heads into this week’s duel with Minnesota. The Vikings allow the ninth-fewest fantasy points to opposing backs and have surrendered only seven rushing touchdowns to RBs on the year. The risk isn’t worth the reward this time around.

Wide Receivers
Start ‘Em: Troy Franklin (Denver Broncos) at Washington Commanders
It turns out that a college rapport can translate to the pros. However, that’s only if the receiver can actually play, and in Troy Franklin’s case, he’s looking like the real deal.
Over the last five weeks, the Oregon product has amassed a whopping 45 targets. He only hauled in 23 of them (accuracy has been an issue for Bo Nix this year) but managed to score double-digit fantasy points in four of those outings, partially thanks to his four touchdowns over that span. Courtland Sutton is still racking up yards, but Franklin appears to be the clear WR1 in Denver until further notice.
This week, the sophomore receiver will look to keep the momentum rolling against a porous Washington defense. As I mentioned above, the Commanders are struggling greatly to contain the passing game. Dan Quinn’s side has allowed the third-most fantasy points to receivers, giving Franklin high-end WR2 value heading into Sunday night.
Sit ‘Em: Rome Odunze (Chicago Bears) at Philadelphia Eagles
Through the first four weeks of the season, Odunze appeared to have cleared established himself as the new No. 1 receiver in Chicago. The second-year receiver scored at least 15 fantasy points in every game, racking up five touchdowns over that span.
Then, the Bears had their bye. It’s been downhill ever since.
Over Odunze’s last seven outings, he’s hit the 10-point mark just twice. He’s found the end zone only once. The former ninth overall pick has caught only 11 balls over the Bears’ last four outings. Whether that’s his problem or something on Caleb Williams or Ben Johnson’s side, it’s just not working right now for Rome.
If Odunze doesn’t score against a tough Philly defense, he’s likely looking at another fantasy dud.

Tight Ends
Start ‘Em: Hunter Henry (New England Patriots) vs. New York Giants
Coming off seven games of failing to score double-digit fantasy points, I picked Henry as my start of the week against the Bengals, and he delivered. The veteran caught seven of 10 targets for a season-high 115 yards and one touchdown. He would’ve had another score if Mack Hollins hadn’t committed a silly pick-play penalty in the end zone.
So, this week I’m going right back to him. On paper, the Giants aren’t the easiest matchup for tight ends, but they are tied for the fourth-most touchdown allowed to the position on the year. For a guy who is typically semi-touchdown dependent, that’s worth noting. With Will Campbell and Jared Wilson out for this contest, Drake Maye will probably have to take a lot of shorter stuff instead of airing it out.
Henry should continue to serve as Maye’s safety blanket for this Monday night matchup, giving him low-end TE1 value.
Sit ‘Em: Zach Ertz (Washington Commanders) vs. Denver Broncos
When Zach Ertz finds the end zone, he scores double-digit fantasy points. When he doesn’t score, he fails to eclipse the 10-point mark. That has been the case through 11 games this season. The problem? Ertz has only scored four times.
The 35-year-old is involved enough to give him a semi-decent floor, but he’s been held scoreless in four straight matchups, resulting in relative duds each week. Marcus Mariota just isn’t giving the Commanders enough in the passing game to have confidence in Ertz from a fantasy perspective, and when you consider the matchup, it gets even worse. Denver boasts one of the best pass defense in the league, putting the veteran firmly in sit territory.
