The superstar center keeps a low profile but the same cannot be said about his statistical production with 20.0 points, 15.3 rebounds and 11.7 assists per game thus far. His three-point shooting hasn’t yet come around at just 12.3% after knocking those shots down at a career-best 41.7% rate last year, but the reversion to the mean will come with time. Until then, Jokic will surely keep working opponents in the post on a nightly basis and dishing out assists better than most guards can dream of.
Tonight, DraftKings Sportsbook lists Jokic’s prop bet lines at 26.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 9.5 assists. His three-pointers line sits at 1.5 with +116 odds to record a triple-double as well.
The opposing Pelicans are a matchup Jokic tends to feast in. Last season, the Serbian averaged a whopping 30.7 points, 11.7 rebounds and 10.0 assists across a three-game sample. He scored at least 27 points in all three and brought in double-digit rebounds in two of them. New Orleans starts Herb Jones, Zion Williamson and Yves Missi in the frontcourt, with the latter two bringing big bodies and rebounding ability to the picture. However, Jokic is better on the glass than both players and is an otherworldly offensive talent who even the best defenders can’t stop. Williamson certainly isn’t a defensive standout, and while Missi is solid on that end, he faces an uphill battle against the Nuggets’ superstar.
Jokic hasn’t yet recorded over 26.5 points this season, but it’s only a matter of time before he truly explodes in the scoring column.
