The co-main event of this week’s UFC Fight Night is an exciting Heavyweight fight between No. 6 Waldo Cortes-Acosta vs. No. 9 Ante Delija. Cortes-Acosta is attempting to get back in the win column, while Delija is trying to extend his win streak to three. Steve Garcia is taking on David Onama in the Main Event of this card.
Here is my best bet for Waldo Cortes-Acosta vs. Ante Delija at tonight’s UFC Fight Night.
Ante Delija to Win by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission (+180)
Cortes-Acosta is coming off a loss to Sergei Pavlovich in August, but he has still won five of his previous six fights. Delija has a good style to counter Cortes-Acosta and test his striking on the feet. Delija has won four of his past five contests by knockout and has the power advantage in this bout. Also, Delija is the better athlete and should be able to showcase his athleticism to his benefit.
Delija is a close friend and training partner of UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall. Leading up to UFC 321 last week, Delija helped Aspinall prepare for his recent fight. Training with someone at Aspinall’s level should give Delija the necessary tools to beat Cortes-Acosta.
Delija is a -135 favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook as Cortes-Acosta is a +114 underdog. However, since 19 of his 26 wins and seven of his previous 10 have come by finish, it is best to bet on Delija to win by KO/TKO/DQ or submission at +180.
