Austin Reaves O 43.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)
While this number may seem high at a first glance, it’s actually too low for Reaves with LeBron James (sciatica) and Luka Doncic (knee) both out. With those two stars missing, Reaves becomes the Lakers’ alpha and he has been dominant in this situation. In the six starts Reaves has made without James and Doncic the last two seasons, he is averaging an absurd stat line of 36.3 points, 9.2 assists and 7.0 rebounds per game, and he has exceeded 43.5 PRA in all but one of these six games.
In these contests, Reaves is leading the Lakers with 38.3 minutes per game, a 33.2% usage rate and a 35.6% assist rate. Facing a Timberwolves defense that has struggled mightily to start this season, ranking 27th in rating, Reaves’ incredible play should continue and he should clear 43.5 PRA.
Naz Reid O 20.5 Points + Rebounds (-110)
Like the Lakers, the Timberwolves will be down a star player tonight, with Anthony Edwards (hamstring) sidelined. With the wing missing his first game of the season Monday, Reid posted 18 points and seven rebounds vs. the Nuggets. This marked the first game Reid has played with Edwards inactive, but Julius Randle active, and Reid’s role was strong despite coming off the bench, leading Minnesota with a 24.7% usage rate and ranking fourth for the team in playing time with 27.2 minutes.
Betting overs on bench players is usually risky, but Reid isn’t your normal reserve and with a starter’s like role sans Edwards tonight, Reid surpassing 20.5 PR is likely against this shorthanded Lakers team that ranks 18th in defensive rating this season.
Donte DiVincenzo U 3.5 Rebounds (-105)
This number is simply too high for DiVincenzo. The veteran is only averaging 2.3 rebounds per game this season and he has only topped 3.5 rebounds once in his first four starts. DiVincenzo is averaging a low 4.3 rebound chances per game, which is expected considering the size of his teammates.
Playing alongside Rudy Gobert, Randle, Reid and Jaden McDaniels, there will not be many rebounds up for grabs for a guard like DiVincenzo and him finishing with over 3.5 rebounds would be a surprise.
