On Sunday night, the Clippers welcome the Trail Blazers to the Intuit Dome in Inglewood at 9:00 p.m. ET. The Western Conference matchup features a pair of teams that have started the season 1-1.
The Clippers listed Bradley Beal (back) as questionable for this contest and Jordan Miller (hamstring) as out. The Blazers will remain without Scoot Henderson (hamstring) and Robert Williams III (conditioning), but have the rest of their regular rotation ready to roll.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Los Angeles is slightly favored by 7.5 points, with the game total set at 224.5 points. In addition to the main game line, DraftKings Sportsbook has numerous player prop bets for this matchup. In this post, I’ll take a look at a few of my favorites. Let’s dive in:
Best Trail Blazers at Clippers Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Jrue Holiday Over 9.5 Rebounds + Assists (-132)
I included Holiday’s Points + Rebounds + Assists total in my top player props for Sunday, and I’m also adding a Holiday play to my top player props for this game as well.
Holiday had seven assists and six rebounds for a total of 13 rebounds and assists in 33 minutes against Minnesota, and on Friday, he had 11 assists, five rebounds and 16 rebounds and assists in 28 minutes against Golden State.
After averaging 14.5 rebounds and assists in the first two games of the season, I think he’ll easily get to double-digit rebounds and assists in this matchup against the Clippers. In their first two games, the Clippers gave up 11 rebounds and assists to Keyonte George of the Jazz and 10 rebounds and assists to Devin Booker of the Suns. Holiday is typically more productive at rebounds and assists than Booker or George, so this seems like a great player prop to attack.
John Collins Under 14.5 Points (-126)
The Clippers brought in Collins as part of a three-team trade with the Jazz and Heat this offseason. He has come off the bench in the first two games of the season with Derrick Jones Jr. and Kawhi Leonard starting in the front court with Ivica Zubac at center.
In his Clippers debut, he had 14 points in 28 minutes against his former team, the Jazz. On Friday, he played 24 minutes against the Suns, totaling 10 points.
Even though the ninth-year veteran is averaging 16.0 points per game in his career and has produced over 15 points per game in each of the last two seasons, this point total is too high given his current role in the Clippers’ offense.
Ivica Zubac Over 0.5 Blocks (-154)
The Clippers’ big man had a block in the opener against the Jazz but didn’t have a block against the Suns on Friday. Last year, the seven-footer finished sixth in Defensive Player of the Year voting and was on the second All-Defensive team.
Zubac averaged 1.1 blocks per game, and he had at least one block in 51 of his 80 games (64%).
He had exactly two blocks in each of his three games last season against the Trail Blazers, and even though the Portland frontcourt has changed this year, it should be a favorable spot for Zubac to get at least one blocked shot. This can be a quick-hitter prop if Zubac gets the block early, and since he only needs one, it can also be a prop he delivers on with a late swat against the Blazers.
