The tennis world is starting to pick up steam again as the 2025 Paris Masters gets underway. A good run of fall tennis tournaments continues in the City of Love.

The tennis calendar is coming down the final stretch. This is the final ATP Masters 1000 of the calendar year. While Paris is famous for hosting Roland Garros on its iconic clay courts, this event is held indoors on hard court. For the first time, this event is being held at La Défense Arena. The defending champion of the ATP Paris Masters is World No. 3, Alexander Zverev. There is a great field for this final ATP Masters 1000 of the season.
Seven of the eight top-ranked players in the world are in the field, with only Novak Djokovic missing out on the great event. Jannik Sinner comes into Paris in exceptional form, having just won the most recent ATP event in Vienna. The best players in the world only have a couple of events after this to tune up for the huge money event that is the ATP Finals. This should be a great event in front of the great Parisian tennis fans. As always, all eyes will be on Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, who have already faced off in two ATP Masters 1000 Finals this season.
Carlos Alcaraz to Win (+130)
My best bet for this tournament is for Carlos Alcaraz to win. Jannik Sinner is the favorite to win after his big win in Vienna, but this is a great chance for Alcaraz to add another Masters 1000 title to his resume. Alcaraz has already won three of the eight Masters 1000 tournaments this season. Meanwhile, nobody else has won more than one. Alcaraz has had a special 2025 season. Not only has he won three Masters 1000 events, but he has also added two more majors to his incredible career numbers. Alcaraz won at the US Open to end the Grand Slam season, but he also won here in Paris at the French Open.
The three best players on Alcaraz’s side of the bracket are Taylor Fritz, Alex de Minaur and Casper Ruud. Alcaraz is a combined 13-2 all-time against those players. If he brings his stuff, he should cruise to the final. Of course, a potential final against Jannik Sinner is the biggest obstacle in Alcaraz’s way to another title. While Sinner pulled off a great win over Alcaraz in the Wimbledon Final, Alcaraz has dominated the battles between these two as of late. Since the start of 2024, Alcaraz is 7-1 against Sinner, including three ATP Masters 1000 matchups. Alcaraz has also dominated on hard court against Sinner. He has won four straight hard-court matches against Sinner, including their most recent meeting in the US Open Final. Alcaraz wants to end the season as the No. 1 player in the world, and a win here would go a long way to securing that honor.
Alexander Zverev to Win (+1000)
When looking further down the odds board, Alexander Zverev is the clear pick. Zverev is in great form, having just made the ATP Vienna Final. While he dropped that match, it was a great effort, taking the first set and battling deep into the third set. Zverev is also the defending champion here in Paris. In a weaker field than this year’s event, he won the 2024 Paris Masters 1000. Zverev should be full of confidence given his recent form and past success in this tournament. Until a potential matchup with Jannik Sinner in the semifinals, Zverev has an easy draw in this tournament. Zverev is 4-4 in his career against Jannik Sinner and 6-6 in his career against Carlos Alcaraz. He has been the third-best player in the world this year and if anybody is capable of taking down the Big Two, it’s Zverev.
