Since Aspinall is defending his Heavyweight title in the Main Event, this matchup has even larger stakes attached to it. The winner of this fight could very well be the next challenger for the championship. Almeida is 22-3 with 21 finishes in his career and is 17-1 in his last 18 fights. In the previous six years, Almeida has only suffered one loss.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Almeida is a -185 favorite while Volkov is a +154 underdog. The over is set at 1.5 rounds and is -130.
In the UFC, we have recently seen the better wrestler or grappler getting the best of a striker, and I believe this trend will continue in this fight. Since Almeida only has one win by decision in his career, getting him at -110 to win via KO/TKO/DQ or submission is a good play.
