The first of two Bantamweight fights on this week’s UFC Fight Night Main Card is between Cody Gibson and Aoriqileng. In his second stint in the promotion, Gibson is 2-3 while Aoriqileng is 3-6 in the UFC. Both fighters are coming off a loss. This fight is the second bout of the Main Card.
Check out my best bet for Cody Gibson vs. Aoriqileng at this week’s UFC Fight Night.
Fight to Go the Distance (-160)
Aoriqileng is coming off a long layoff, as he last fought Raul Rosas Jr. at UFC 306 in September 2024. Although Gibson lost his last fight against Da’Mon Blackshear in March, he won his previous two bouts before that. Aoriqileng is 1-2 with a draw in his previous four fights and last won a fight in October 2023.
Gibson has a three-inch advantage in height (5’10” vs. 5’7″) and a two-inch edge in reach (71″ vs. 69″). On the feet, Aoriqileng is the better striker, as he is more efficient and lands more significant strikes per minute. Gibson’s biggest advantage comes on the ground where he averages nearly one takedown per 15 minutes.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Gibson is a -180 favorite while Aoriqileng is a +150 underdog. Three of Gibson and Aoriqileng’s last five fights have gone the distance. You can also get this contest to go the distance at -160. Since this fight is close with two fighters coming off a loss, it is best to get it to go the distance.
