The New York Giants are hosting the Philadelphia Eagles at MetLife Stadium on Thursday Night Football. The defending Super Bowl champs enter as seven-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the total set at 40.5 points.

Last week, the Giants played their first game of the season without Malik Nabers (knee), and Johnson was the primary beneficiary. The tight end caught six of his seven targets for 33 yards and two touchdowns. He handled a 17.9% target share and ran a route on 74% of his team’s dropbacks, both of which ranked second for New York.
Darius Slayton was active for this game and saw a 15.4% target share, but the receiver has been ruled out for Thursday’s matchup against the Eagles with a hamstring injury, joining Nabers on the sidelines. These two wideouts have accounted for 33% of the Giants’ targets this season, and with them missing, Johnson should see a ton of volume as one of Jaxson Dart’s main weapons.
New York is a seven-point underdog for this contest, and Johnson approaching double-digit targets isn’t out of the question. Philadelphia is giving up the sixth-fewest receptions to tight ends this season (8), but the Eagles haven’t faced many high-volume TEs thus far. Johnson is a strong bet to exceed 3.5 receptions, given his large expected role.
