Fantasy Football Round-Up: Five lists to help you extinguish NFL Week 3

Updated:

By: Dan Johnson

Ladies and gentlemen, Week 3 of both the 2025 NFL and fantasy football seasons marks this calendar year’s Autumnal Equinox. Indeed, all that summer stardust on our most shimmering pinpricks in the night sky—R.J. Harvey, Kaleb Johnson, Ashton Jeanty, ugh—have dulled a bit as the midsummer haze has dissolved and revealed a crisp September twilight. Plenty of time yet for them to shine through all the brighter. The night sky is the most dazzling, I think, in the autumns and winters. No? Primetime under the lights this week hangs a marquee for us this week without (or potentially without) names like Joe Burrow, Jayden Daniels, Tucker Kraft, Brock Purdy, George Kittle, Chris Godwin—the list goes on. Here’s hoping your fantasy team is still indeed a constellation of stars set to go supernova. If not? I’ve got you. Once more, I’m here with the full gamut of my Five Lists of Five: Week 3 edition (2025) to get you set with sleepers, stash players, matchups to exploit, and must-starts. This way you can both crown yourself Equinox royalty, and bulwark your bench for the long nights to come.

You know how it goes. We’re in the business of domination, here. We trade in wins, and wins only. We, like Billy Beane, loathe losing more than we wish for winning. And so, below, I’ve got a mix of analysis that should help you maximize your Week 3 fantasy football lineups, but also shore up your bench with potential cosmic storms waiting to happen.

Find links to all below, and enjoy laying waste to the most beloved of your leaguemates.

I’ve gone ahead and added the names of the players included on each list, so as to make this document more useful going forward.

Having said that, if you want any of the analysis as to why I consider these players worthy of a particular list, head to the article itself.
