Week 2 of the college football season has a great slate of Saturday games. These are the best player prop bets to consider on DraftKings Sportsbook for the Week 2 Saturday slate.
Week 2 Prop Bets
Baylor at SMU: Sawyer Robertson 3+ TD Passes (+145)
Sawyer Robertson is one of the best quarterbacks in college football. He threw for over 3,000 yards and 28 touchdowns last season, one of just 15 quarterbacks to do so. Of the 15 quarterbacks who pulled off that feat last year, Robertson is one of three back on the same team this season. In Week 1, Robertson led all of college football with 419 passing yards. The Baylor defense struggled against Auburn, causing the Bears to take the loss, but Robertson put on a show against a tough SEC defense. Against Big 12 defenses, Robertson should put up absurd numbers all season. SMU has a good offense, so this should be a shootout between two great quarterbacks. Robertson threw for three touchdowns last week and should do so again this week against SMU.
Penn State vs. FIU: Nick Singleton 2+ TDs (+155)
Nick Singleton is a part of the best running back duo in college football. Singleton, along with Kaytron Allen, were two of the best running backs in college football last season and both returned for another season at Penn State. It can be tough to take prop bets on either running back because both are capable of dominating a game or finding the end zone. However, last season, Singleton got more of the goal-line touches. Allen had more carries overall, but Singleton had 12 rushing touchdowns, compared to Allen, who had eight. Singleton is also much more of a receiving threat. He had 41 catches and five receiving touchdowns, compared to Allen, who had 18 catches and two receiving touchdowns. Against an inferior FIU team, Penn State should score a lot. Just like last week against Nevada, two of those touchdowns should go to Singleton. In Week 1, Singleton scored two touchdowns on the ground and had four receptions for 37 yards. They should get him the ball against FIU and when they do, he will find the end zone.
Vanderbilt at Virginia Tech: Diego Pavia Anytime TD (+115)
Diego Pavia is one of the most exciting players to watch in all of college football. He transformed Vanderbilt from a permanent basement dweller in the SEC to a team that upset Alabama and won seven games in 2024. Pavia looked sharp in the season opener against FCS Charleston Southern, throwing for 275 yards and three touchdowns. Pavia will move it through the air against lesser opponents, but in big games, Pavia will rely on his legs. He had eight rushing touchdowns last season, including their season opener against Virginia Tech. Pavia ran the ball 26 times for 104 yards and a score when these teams faced last year. Those are Derrick Henry numbers. The Hokies showed they were still vulnerable against running quarterbacks last week, allowing a touchdown run to LaNorris Sellers. Pavia should run against the Hokies’ defense and find the end zone in this Week 2 matchup.
