The third fight of Saturday’s Fight Night is a 155-pound bout between Bolaji Oki vs. Mason Jones. Jones won his first fight back in the UFC against Jeremy Stephens, while Oki is 2-1 in the company. Nassourdine Imavov takes on Caio Borralho in the Main Event of this card.
Here is my best bet for Bolaji Oki vs. Mason Jones at tonight’s UFC Fight Night in Paris, France.
Bolaji Oki Moneyline (+114)
In this matchup, Oki is the much better striker, landing more significant strikes per minute at a higher rate while being more effective on defense. Jones does excel on the ground, but with Oki’s elite 85 percent takedown defense, Jones could struggle to get the contest to the ground.
Jones is currently in his second stint with the UFC, holding a 2-2 record with one draw in the promotion. Yes, Jones recently beat Jeremy Stephens in May, but that was Stephens’ first MMA fight in three years. Now he has Oki in his way, who has won 10 of his previous 11 bouts.
With Oki’s tremendous striking prowess, if he pressures Jones early in this fight, he should be able to find success. Jones has more overall experience than Oki, but still needs to prove himself more in the UFC. Getting Oki at +110 on DraftKings Sportsbook is an excellent value play considering he has elite upside.
